To my surprise, as I pulled the huge book of History Buildings, I found a small book behind it. My eyes widened; my heart accelerated. Was today my lucky day? I set the huge book of Building History aside and took the book that was behind it. The front and back cover was torn but I knew this was the book I was looking for. At the bottom of the book, in pen, it was written; Roger Canaff. I took the book together with the Greece Building History book and headed towards the encyclopedias. I did not bother to read the book, instead, I decided to read the summary on the last page.

Exhaustion is taking over, and I am having trouble keeping my eyes open. Right before my eyes close, the last thing I see is Braxius's blue-green eyes filled with love and sorrow. Except, I somehow know everything will be all right with him. That only thought is making my leaving easier, and I stop fighting the darkness. I am floating away towards total oblivion. I am having a few brief flashbacks of my short life of twenty-two years and growing up in New Jersey with Meena, my younger sister of nine months. I accepted my entry-level position at a prestigious marketing firm and graduating from college with honors as a business major with a minor in history.

Ancient books lined the shelves, their pages filled with forgotten knowledge, while relics of a bygone era adorned every surface. Curiosity led us deeper into the chamber, until we discovered an old journal, its leather cover aged and weathered. Lya carefully opened it, her eyes scanning the faded ink that adorned its pages. The words within were fragments of a lost history, a testament to the struggles and triumphs of those who had come before us.

I had no interest in that so I just kept walking until I reached my room. I immediately went in and sat on the sofa bed. I don't know how I will end this day. Can I read a book? I stood up again and looked at the shelves with books. It was meant to be used as a book for my studies. Rare flowers. That's what's written in the book. I didn't read it because I didn't need to. I don't really like reading either. I will only read if necessary. So I brought the rather large book. The books here are a bit different because they are not like printed books. This is handwritten and the images are drawn, but that's okay because the writer's calligraphy is beautiful.

Holding up the police report, I continued, "Don't worry, I've sent his lover to jail." The chat erupted with cheers. "I did it because she trained her dog to try to kill me. I don't understand why James still thinks we can be a happy family if I go back. What he's done to me is unforgivable. Thirty years ago, he failed in business. His first love and also current lover, Sophia Lewis, ran off with all his money. I asked my family for financial support so that I could help get back on his feet. This time, the titles caught my attention, ranging from the history of our kingdom to the customs, cultures, and histories of our neighbors: the Vixens and the Bear-Shifters. And then there was one book in particular about something that I had never heard of before… nothing like anything Father ever discussed or that I’d read of in fairytales.
