"Aww a mini Lance. That's so adorable. And what's the book about." "About a girl falling for someone unexpected. The same guy that told her on her worst day that, one day a stranger will walk into her life and will flip her world upside down. And it will make her realize as to why it never worked out with anyone else but him." I smiled while looking at him in the crowd. "The book is called, My Personal BodyGuard. Based on true events." I smiled. Once my interview was over there was a meet and greet. I walked over there and there was a big line. It lasted about 2 hours.

My mind went back to the book sitting on my nightstand. "The chronicle of the six?" I whispered, almost like a question. "Yes, that one. That book is history, it entails everything that happened and why it happened, history that a lot of people do not know about , humans and supernatural creatures alike" he said, pausing for me to take in his words. He continued almost immediately "everything that has happened and has been happening until now has been because of the deities in that book, their actions and their mistakes" he paused again, a sad and solemn look crossing his features for a while.

My bedroom was messed up and I couldn't think straight when everything was trashy around me. Colliding on a comfortable couch, l opened up the book and began reading it. The pages were coming to my hand as the glue wasn't that strong but either way, Bane did a good job fixing it. The writing inside the book were mainly stories, non-fiction, about the horrible events that happened in the eighteenth century. "Is written by someone from the Redwood bloodline," I mumbled as Isreal’s shadow appeared at the corner of my eyes. "Do you know him? Simon don?"

It was quiet, almost sacred, with sunlight streaming through the large windows and rows of books inviting me to lose myself in their worlds. I wandered through the aisles aimlessly until I stumbled across a section on business biographies. My fingers hovered over the spines until I spotted one that looked familiar: Against All Odds: The Rise of Evan Bennett. I pulled the book from the shelf, my heart racing. I hadn't known a biography about him existed. The cover featured a candid photo of Evan, his piercing eyes staring directly at the camera.

“One thousand years ago, my home, the kingdom of Everaya, was the most powerful nation in my world.” He begins. “Unfortunately there were those within the kingdom who were unhappy with the way things were and the King was murdered. His queen was pregnant at the time and went into early labour. She died and the baby survived. This baby was the Fellstar heir.” He seems to pause as if to let this sink in and then continues on.

And in the house on Calloway Street a closed laptop held a hundred and one pages that were about to become what they had always been building toward, which was not a book exactly but the human record of a story that had begun before either of its central people existed and had arrived, through thirty years of people trusting the long version, at this bench, this morning, this ordinary Tuesday in the year everything became what it was always going to be. Complete. And continuing. Both. Always both.

I approached slowly, the heels of my boots clicking softly on the polished floor. Drawn like a moth to a flame, I skimmed my fingers across the titles etched on the spines. Tales of kings. Wars. Bloodlines. My gaze caught on a thick, weathered book left open on the desk. Its title was simple: Pack Histories and Blood Betrayals. A cold shiver rippled through me. I leaned over, my shadow swallowing the page, and began to read. At first, it was the usual: chronicles of battles, treaties, ascensions. But then, a word snared me, rooted me in place:
