Cthulhu Mythos In Cultivation World

Cthulhu Mythos In Cultivation World

The fog grew denser as the sun was swallowed by the dark shadow. Many growls and the beastly roar of the unknown creature reverberated through the fog that slowly descended to the ground level. The sound of many unknown creatures growing nearer and nearer to the camp. “Activate the defensive formation!” Command The Patriarch to every elder and core disciple. Within a second, the green barrier appeared surrounding the camp. At that moment many black bat-like creatures with hard rubber skin with a large protrude fang from their mouth flew to the barrier.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

Crystal Claireesmeralda
I don’t see any creature inside it, but I know Kai would not be mistaken. “I take it a balrog is kind of dangerous?” “I wish it was only ‘kind of dangerous,’” Kai replies solemnly. “Balrogs are the most fearsome creatures in our entire world. Nothing can withstand their molten fire, which burns as hot as the lava inside the giant volcano where they’ve been hibernating for centuries.” A sigh escapes his throat. “I had hoped never to see one in my lifetime.”

Ambergath

Ambergath

for all of those boils on top of that gray skin this creature could have easily been mistaken for a rock if it sat still. It opened its mouth as far as it could go and let out a nightmarish gurgly laugh that sounded like it came from the swamp itself. Then, to the twins horror they watched as the monster flung them into the air, boat and all. It tilted it's head back with its mouth open wide as if to catch them and devour them. The twins were still clutching each other tightly when all of a sudden they heard the sound of tinkling bells. Expecting to meet the swamp monsters razor sharp teeth upon landing, they were surprised when they didn't land at all. Instead they were snatched out of mid

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

Like he had built it out of Lego around him. The next to enter was Gamba. He wasn’t anywhere near as massive, but he was carrying a lot more weight. It was his steps that caused the ground to shake. His rocky features were a bit like the trolls we had encountered back in Flatland, but somehow even less human. And, in the rear, was Cheng. He seemed dwarfed by the other two. Even if we’d had Phil’s time-stopping device, I couldn’t see it helping that much. How do you defeat a super-sized balrog and a walking mountain?

Bane of the Dragons

Bane of the Dragons

Major Dylan deadpanned. Aidan chuckled darkly. “At this rate, we’ll be driven back. We can’t have that, Eleazar.” Before Sophia could even contemplate what the rogue Knight was hinting at, Eleazar had acted. He raised his two fingers and chanted, "Rise, Dungeon of Torture." The water surrounding them began to rise and a wall of ice surrounded Zain, blocking his escape 360 degrees around and even above. ‘What is this magic?’ Sophia thought as Eleazar sank into the ice wall.

Grim Reaper's Bride

Grim Reaper's Bride

“There's nothing here, Corpseboy.” “Well of course there's isn't! I wasted last weekend erecting barriers around your property that would give Asmodeus an aneurysm. All that damnable work. And you still wouldn't rub my feet.” He leaned against the counter. “I assumed it was just your garden variety home spirit. Hobgoblins, domovois- they're as common as drops of rain. Mortals are usually oblivious to them, but Damien's clover tincture gives you the Second Sight.” He poured himself a cup of rose hip tea that I'd set to simmer on the counter.

Demon King: The Werewolf And The Lily

Demon King: The Werewolf And The Lily

But they are only a small portion of the ones who actually live there. Deep within the recesses of the castle, and even in some places where the weakest of the creatures fear to tread, are the less intelligent creatures. The Gargoyles, the Ogres, the Centaurs, the Minotaurs, and all the other beastfolk that have succumb to their primal urges and have become nothing but killing machines, devouring whoever or whatever it is that gets in their way. The current Demon King does not actually mind this bunch a lot, but he also knows that they will have their use when he would need to defend the Castle from attackers.

Midnight strays

Midnight strays

Much to Jane's chagrin, Natasha sat on Red's other side. Tarloh stood up, a grim look on his face. His gaze swept over the crowd. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, here's the scoop. We've got trouble with a capital 'S.' We've got some mystical power that feeds on madness, and it redefines evil as we know it. Does anyone remember the stories of the Elder Gods?" Some people at the table looked confused. Some looked incredulous. Others looked downright terrified. Tarloh stopped, took a breath and then, "What we seem to have here is a Shoggoth. For those who remember, the Shoggoths were servants to the Elder Gods, at least in the beginning.

Mated To The Alpha

Mated To The Alpha

Daven’s army had arrived. From atop the fortress wall, Marcus stood like a sentinel, his dark cloak snapping in the breeze, his arms crossed over his chest. His golden eyes scanned the treeline beyond the western ridge where shadows moved—thousands of them. The first wave appeared slowly, emerging from the fog like nightmares given form. Rogues with snarling jaws and matted fur. Warlocks with skeletal markings burned into their skin. Beasts that had once been wolves, now corrupted by forbidden rituals—twisted, monstrous things that didn’t seem to feel pain or fear.

Property of The Alpha

Property of The Alpha

The memory of Balor vanishing into a cloud of black smoke filled my head, and everything seemed to start to click together. "He's not the devil," Visha interjected, but I chose to ignore her this time because if magic was real and Balor was the devil, the ruler of the Underworld, then all the things we believed to be false were real, like Dragons and giants and fae. My mind was so busy reeling in this newfound information that I hadn't realized we had started moving again. I blinked away the thoughts, forcing them to the back of my mind for later as I tried to focus on their rushed conversation.

Great book!!! Good plots with minimal grammatical mistakes that can be overlooked. Just wish the antagonists final battle could be more epic as it was kind of anticlimactic hence less half star. Will look out for the next book

Wow. Mrs.rie has done it again! Another fantastic book. I am so excited to see how this ends. I love that she included some characters from her previous series. Colette and Zane are such a power couple and I just love how badass everyone is! If you haven’t read this yet, what are you waiting for!!?
