Casper brought the live wire and crouched beside his alpha, then smiled at the rogue wolf and passed the wire into his cage. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t realized it was a female scent at the time, too concentrated on figuring out the pack it was from.

He asked looking at the crowd and sure enough I and another male wolf were the ones left without a partner. “Pair with… ” Marcel started and I spotted Bane as he walked in. “I'll pair with him” I pointed and Bane stopped in his spot. “Him?” Marcel asked, probably surprised as he looked at Bane and I nodded. “Yeah him, you should pair with the other wolf” I left him and walked to Bane. “Let's start” his beta yelled out. “So, I heard you're a warrior” I started, successfully evading Bane’s strike.

I could only shake my head at him. “Let’s get this over with,” I said and climbed out of the Navigator. Denver opened the door and smiled when he saw us. He was followed closely by Conroy and they walked towards us. We all shook hands and they both looked excited. Grayson was now snoring in my head. I swear he almost never took anything seriously. “Every male wolf that lives in Wolfeboro is present,” Conroy said as he bowed his head. “This is Caleb, he’s my Beta,” I introduced him.
