Bathroom In The Shining Novels & Stories

I said, bowing slightly before slipping away as fast as I could without making it look like I was running. The hallway was silent, decorated with golden-framed portraits that seemed older than Montrose itself. Each one looked expensive enough to feed an entire village. When I pushed open the bathroom door, I almost froze. It could pass as a house with this scale! Marble counters, gold faucets, a chandelier for some reason—quite literally a chandelier in a bathroom.

" I went to the bathroom, not knowing if it was the one I had entered that night. But if it was, I could now admire it with sober eyes. The room was all white, just like everything else in the house. There was a large shower to one side of the room, and a bath to another side. There were double sinks side by side and a white toilet that had a blue light coming out of it. I stripped out of my clothes and stepped into the shower. I looked at the dials in confusion and had to read and figure out which dial was which.

“You are beautiful, Venus. You have the body of a goddess. It's smooth and glows.” I looked down, unable to meet his gaze. “Look at me,” he said, lifting my chin so I could look at him. “Are you shy?” I shook my head and muttered, “No.” He brushed a kiss across my lips, took my hand and led me to the bathroom. Maxine and I stepped into the bathroom together. The shower enclosure was wide, encased in clear glass, and the overhead rain showerhead gave the illusion of standing beneath a warm waterfall. The bathroom smelled of luxury and lavender — like something out of a dream.

Half of the walls were lined with mirrors, with several cabinets fastened on the other side.

“Please, for my sanity, Florence,” I stood nervously, the soft glow of the overhead light. The bathroom was cozy, adorned with rustic wooden walls and a large, intricately carved mirror hanging above a ceramic sink. A plush, cream-colored towel hung on a wooden rack nearby. The shower was a hollow space of dark marble and clean glass with a six-foot-long rainfall shower head embedded in the ceiling above it.

I mumble a few words to myself, attempting to dispel the memories, and make my way to the bathroom. Stepping into the bathroom, the cool tiles beneath my feet offer a fleeting respite from the turmoil within. The room is adorned with sleek marble, the soft glow of the vanity lights casting an ethereal ambiance. I turn on the shower, feeling the cascading water cleanse my body, if only momentarily washing away the weight of the past.

Settled and satisfied in a way that made me want to have a firm conversation with her later. I found the bathroom. It was the kind of bathroom that made you stop walking when you entered it. All white marble and gold fixtures and a bathtub that sat in the center of the room. A separate shower ran along the entire left wall, glass-fronted, with about twelve different settings on the panel beside it. I turned the shower on, found towels folded on the heated rail, and stood under the water for a long time without thinking about anything in particular. Or trying not to. His voice kept coming back.

From the looks of it from where I stood, it was filled with dresses and shoes made for women. Did Beta Silver bring me to someone's room? One of the shorter walls had a bench set beneath a row of hooks, several holding personal possessions, and the other shelves holding towels, bathrobes, and kits in little plastic bags.

She says in a sassy tone as she glares hard at me. “Yes, Commander.”I quip smiling as I smirk faintly before stepping inside trying to contain the heavy feeling of my heart. The faint click of the door of the bathroom closes as I turn glancing around.. The bathroom looks beautiful at first glance, it’s also quite large and almost deceptively so. The Soft warm lighting spills from recessed fixtures in the ceiling, casting a golden glow over smooth marble tiles that stretch from the floor all the way up the walls. Not a single crack, not one single flaw. Everything polished to a quiet shine that reflects just enough light to make the space feel bigger than it actually is.
