POV: Dorian The Battlefield The field was still burning when the world went still. Not just quiet still. Ash froze mid-fall. Embers hung like fireflies trapped in glass. Wolves caught mid-howl, mid-stagger, mid-breath. Even Araya’s Hollowflame paused, a banner of light held in the air. Only I moved. And the lilies bloomed. Black as void, soft as ash, they unfurled across corpses, out of shattered stone, along seams of melted iron. Petals opened and closed with a breath no throat gave. Their scent—sweet rot, familiar curled into my lungs.

He was holding a jagged piece of the needle-ship’s hull that had been sharpened into a massive, two-handed cleaver. "The offense is me," Leo said, his eyes turning a solid, terrifying bronze. "And the Shadow-Stalkers. We’re going to hit their supply lines in the Oasis before they even clear the Flats." Even though the pane held, the terrifying kinetic energy transferred through the barrier like a physical blow, rupturing my eardrum and rattling my skull. The glass instantly spiderwebbed, a thousand silver fractures blooming in the light. A razor-thin splinter hissed through the air, grazing the corner of my eye. Blood beaded at once, mixing with cold sweat before trickling into my eye, stinging like acid. I was Lorenzo's live target, codenamed 01. Names didn't matter, and pain wasn't allowed. My role was simple—to replicate hostile operatives during his extravagant security exercises—or, at present, to serve as a living prop.

** At the center stands a mausoleum, its doors carved with the spiral-and-thorns. Lira limps behind us, her beauty ruined. "Fools. This is its *sanctum*." The doors open. Inside, the Bloom's true form waits-a fetus of light and thorn, suspended in amniotic static. ***YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE***, it whispers. Ravel aims her crossbow. "Yeah? Neither should you." --- **The Last Bloom** The fight is a blur. Lira turns on the Bloom, her scales becoming blades. Ravel's bolts shatter its cradle. I claw at the fetus, static tearing my hands to bone.

With this allocation, Philip took the back position. He was here to cover the rear. Seeing this scene, Cougar looked at the screen with narrowed eyes. In this virtual battlefield, every battle was randomly generated, and the difficulty of the opponent was the same. Not far away, a huge exotic beast suddenly appeared in front of them. “Whoa, no way. They actually got the strongest battlefield to kill exotic beasts. This is the most difficult virtual battlefield!” While listening, Cougar kept his eyes glued to the screen. In the virtual battlefield, Philip told Iris, “Bind it!”

BRYNN The bastard was letting his people fight his battle for him. His smug satisfaction really pissed me off. Could you say cowardly? They were expendable, and that was disgusting. This was the first time I had ever been on a battlefield before. I was not certain what to expect, but there was no way that I could have been prepared. It was nerve-wracking to see our people fighting against the enemy. The smell of blood and death hung in the air, reminding me of the harsh reality that there was permanence to those who fell today. I just prayed that they were not from our side.

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Now he was my only support who could show me the light out of this hideous place. "W-w-who are you?" I stuttered, looking at him. "I'm the last person alive in this place, Anderson Parkmerg. Except for me, she killed all of them in her heart-wrenching game." With that clever glance, he smirked at me and asked. "Aren't you curious to know about this place?" I stayed quiet, but he started telling the story with a grin.

Rojean, now, felt the panic overwhelm her. “That’s why you got promoted, baby, you do your job well. You’ll do great now. Come on.” Once they found a parking spot, Lucas still helped Rojean with her things but was distracted enough by the buildings ahead. He swore he felt the buildings were going to fall on them, they were basically skyscrapers to put it in a simpler description.

“You still don’t get it. I was never going to win the war. I was going to end the game.” He pointed to the server behind him. “One button, Dino. All your work — the future you dream of — goes up in flames. Every ally you made. Every nation that helped you.” “You think they’ll fall for your bluff?” Alejandro’s finger hovered over the keyboard. “I don’t bluff.” Silence. Then Dino said softly, “Neither do I.” He reached behind him and threw a small disk forward. It clanged once — then exploded in a burst of electric light.
