Blood on the Asphalt biker

Blood on the Asphalt biker

We crested the final ridge, and there it was. The Beacon wasn't just a tower. It was a fortress built into the hollowed-out crater of an extinct volcano. In the center stood a spire of white durasteel that pierced the clouds, emitting the pulse that was healing the sky. Surrounding it was a city not a ruin like Vegas, but a sleek, operational base with hangars, hydroponic domes, and defensive turrets that tracked us with silent precision. "It’s the Sanctuary," I whispered. "The place the Ghost Wolf project was meant to defend."

KNOX The Beacon Hill shop opened on a clear Saturday in the first week of May. The Pacific Northwest gives clear days in May occasionally and without pattern, the way a person gives you their best version of themselves sometimes when you haven't done anything particular to earn it — just because the conditions were right. The morning was cold enough to be real and clear enough to see detail and the light had the quality that the north bay clerestory windows had been built for: clean, consistent, telling the truth about the color of things.

Dangerous Pleasures

Dangerous Pleasures

Becca dreamt of how soft the touch might be. They continued to hike in silence, the sounds of nature a refreshing change from the sounds of the city. The singing of the birds a pleasant reprieve from the angry sounds of her neighborhood. Approaching a clearing, Becca got her first glimpse of the city on the horizon. Breathtaking, she thought to herself, in awe of the beautiful skyline before her. She took a deep breath, grateful for the experience, her eyes catching a sign indicating that the scenic view was just ahead.

I imagined him promising to support me as the new chairwoman of TAG Medical Center. "It won't be a surprise anymore, my dear. Just a little more patience." "Alright," I agreed, but my lips pouted, that he cupped my face and sucked my lower lip. The following morning was our schedule to go hiking towards the top of Diamond Head Summit Trail, one of the wonders of the Hawaiian Islands of O'ahu, known to Hawaiians as Le'ahi. It is a volcanic tuff cone that can be seen from the coast of Waikiki, the place where we stayed, appearing like the dorsal fin of a tuna fish. The climb towards the peak looked difficult, but in reality, the height is only 760 feet away from the foot of the crater.

actually we never spoke at all because there was never a reason to so his sudden smiling perplexed me. I noticed Zion's eyes narrow in on Brady. The yellow calm glow turning that fiery red. All of a sudden a gust of wind blew the cafeteria doors that led outside open. Buzzing could be heard. Buzzing that seemed to be getting louder as if whatever it was were coming closer. Every student sat there, unflinching as we stared at the swaying doors.

Horniness be darned, that was enough for him. The very next day, they went on their honeymoon. Andreas took Eleanor to Shōdo-shima Island in Japan. Eleanor was a mess of tears, excitement, enthusiasm, and unpardonable curiosity. Their resort room over looked the cloudy and green mountains, giving a clear view of the sky and clouds in all it's glorious beauty. They took a trip to the ancient art museum, visited and plucked from the olive garden, then walked down the angel road. After spending a month there, they went to an island in the central philippines to spend the remaining 2 months of their honeymoon. WILD PLEASURE {short stories}

WILD PLEASURE {short stories}

The watchtower at Widow’s Peak was a decades-old cabin perched on stilts thirty feet up in the air. It took ninety steps to reach the trapdoor in the catwalk floor from the ground, her calves burning all the way. If that wasn’t enough, reaching the place at all took a ten-hour drive up the fire roads from Big Bear Lake, followed by a brutal hike in by pack trail. Her piece of the park for the summer came with a big dose of welcome peace and quiet, plus million-dollar views. Hannah got up each morning to a panoramic, ringside seat looking out over mountains and forests, and a hundred-plus miles of pure visibility.

MY EX IS PREGNANT FOR ME

MY EX IS PREGNANT FOR ME

Daylight filtered through shattered skylights, painting the dust in gold and ash. Outside, the storm had passed but the world smelled charged, as if every tree remembered the lightning. They crossed the cracked parking lot, heading for a ridge that overlooked what had once been the city’s heart. From there they saw fires blooming in the distance—cold blue instead of orange, flickering in rhythmic patterns. Kira lifted her binoculars. “Signal beacons. Someone—or something—is mapping this area.” “Echoes,” Adrian said. “Each beacon could be one of them syncing with the others.”
