This was a sight that hadn't been seen in the eastern plains for decades. Around the battlefield, various forces occupied mountain peaks, waiting for the battle to erupt. "Look! Warbringer Gate is here!" someone shouted. In the distance, a pride of massive black lions charged across the plains. These lions were three times the size of ordinary ones, their fur pitch black and their eyes glowing green. They bore sharp fangs and radiated power and speed. It was evident from the fierce winds stirred up by their charge and the cracks forming in the earth beneath their paws.

Green beasts are specialized, they become doctors, trackers, investigators and so forth. Yellow beasts are soldiers or warriors. They protect the lair and the members that live within that community. They will be in charge of the territory, training and even personalized protection for certain members of a higher ranking. Orange and red beasts are the workers of the community and the weakest of our kind. They are usually the cooks, cleaners, butlers, drivers and so forth. Every person has a place within a lair and the happiness and wealth of your lair depends on your Sire. If you have a good Sire then your lair will prosper.

"Today we are going to learn about beasts and how to tame them. Beasts are mutated animals with extreme intelligence, they can sense and find prey weaker than them and hunt them, if they find prey stronger than them they use different methods to hunt the prey, every beast can become strong by preying on other animals and hibernating as it increases their mutation level making them strong. A beast's power is measured by its mutation level. Level 10 beasts are capable of killing 10 humans and a level 1 beast is capable of immobilizing a human and if left they can completely kill the human and there are also level 100 beasts that rarely come out of their hiding and they are capable of destroyin

Appearing before Lavana, although invisible to the enraged beast. “What sort of creature is this?” she was forced to ask her battle assistant. “That is a demon lion and a conscious beast,” “Conscious beast?” Lavana asked in befuddlement as she used her tails to throw the creature backwards by a few meters. It was really heavy, she had to admit. Cephina continued her explanation, “Conscious beasts are very challenging to tame and even harder to kill. I think it’s as strong as a low-ranked sorcerer now that it’s shown its ultimate form,”

I inquired, dodging the subject of sex. It was bound to crop up next, and I was stalling for time. Sue me. My body was trembling with nerves, terrified of what it would feel like to be shared between them. “Lincoln is a bear shifter from Forest Hills,” Alex informed me. “Chloe is human, like you.” “And she didn’t mind Lincoln being a . . . you know? A,” I cringed as I use the word, “bear shifter?” Alex flashed a tight-lipped smile to mask his amusement. “Apparently not.”

Of course Christopher Henry Jameson—also known as Beast- wasn't the average man. He stood 6'5" and weighed three hundred and two pounds. He didn't like the extra three pounds. He rather liked being in the two hundred weight range even if it was by just one or two pounds. Regardless, there wasn't an ounce of fat on his perfect body. Beast was muscles on top of muscles, yet not hulking like some of the others that worked in the Marine Corps division assigned to The Department of Home Land Security, or better known as DHS. Too big made you slow. He'd seen guys bigger than him hospitalized during the CRUCIBLE training.

The Pitbull’s golden reptilian eyes widened in sudden, primal terror as he realized his crushing weight wasn't breaking the Alpha—it was powering him. "My turn," Rhys rumbled, his voice layered with the multi-tonal roar of his inner wolf. Rhys drove his boots into the iron deck, bridging his hips with terrifying force. He seized the Pitbull by the throat and chest plate, flipping the massive shifter completely over his head. While the beast was airborne, Rhys slammed his left fist directly into the Pitbull's exposed sternum. *BOOM.*

I slam the door behind me, leaving Terris inside. Ambling downstairs, I find the beast lounging on the settee with his eyes closed, too calm for my liking, like a lion ready to strike. He always keeps a gun with him, and right now, he is stroking his face from the nose up to his forehead with it repeatedly. His disposed gigantic trunk is heaving up and down from his massive breathing. He doesn't look approachable. I don't think I should talk to him right now. I should probably wait for him to calm down a little, if that is even deemed to happen.

The other two figures, the ones with cruelty and bloodlust in their scents, are looking at us with amused expressions. They look like Niko and Bastien - same color hair, green eyes, high cheekbones, and tall build. They’re both dressed in black leather and holding silver-tipped whips in their hands. “Well,” one says and walks towards us with a smirk, crossing her arms. “If it isn’t my unwanted son.”

Did I hear it right? “Someone from Combercast came, and he told me that his boss is going to marry the new heir of Erbeauty.” “Combercast? You mean that old bastard? Richard Clinton?” Before Liana gave me another answer, I stood up quickly from my seat. I grabbed my phone and my car key. “Where are you going? How about the–” “I’ll deal with it later.” I knew some people would try to go near her as soon as possible. But that jerk Richard Clinton? That man sure didn’t know when to stop.
