A beast's power is measured by its mutation level. Level 10 beasts are capable of killing 10 humans and a level 1 beast is capable of immobilizing a human and if left they can completely kill the human and there are also level 100 beasts that rarely come out of their hiding and they are capable of destroyin

Melissa looks at us and sighs. "This is not going to work!" She says. "Everybody, get back." We look at her and then follow as she says. Melly closes her eyes and looks at the sky. The beasts charge towards her. "MELLYYY!" I scream. Melissa screams hard and just as the beasts surround her, a big lightning bold fires from the sky killing all them. Their bodies fall to the ground and Melly stands there gasping. She looks at us and smiles. We all run to her and hug.

Ben Carter climbed with the surprising agility of a man who has run away from many angry creditors. Below us, the sea of silver crashed against the walls. The beetles began to pile on top of each other, forming living pyramids, trying to reach us. "Shoot them!" Haley shrieked, clutching her backpack like a life preserver. "Marcus, shoot them!" Marcus racked the slide of his heavy assault shotgun. BOOM. The buckshot hit the swarm. A dozen beetles shattered, sparking as their micro-capacitors exploded.
