Despite being a very shameful thing among we shifters, I not only slept with Janet in secret, but I had also marked her inadvertently. During heat, it is usually established that the Alpha male and Luna belonged to each other. But I had no Luna. It wasn't a shameful thing that I mated the other she-wolves of the Pack, it was more shameful when it was an Omega. Janet was the most beautiful shifter in my Pack, the Crescent Pack. And that gave me a sense of pride. She was a trophy I owned, but it never lasted. It all ended the day she was killed.

It was a perfect combination. "My pleasure," I purred with contempt as I eyed my prey. The prisoner's head hung low, his malnourished body unable to withstand the poison that even the smell of his urine couldn't hide. Wolf's bane and liquid silver in low doses did wonders to subdue a wolf. Their beast would be put to sleep, and they would lose any connection they had to their pack... if they had one.

The beast yearned, and this time not at all for his mate. I was ready to go down to him, when I saw that another beast was cowardly from the side of the first-aid post. When he came under the light of our windows, I could make out his light gray fur. It was Morgan. He went up to the wolf at the porch and butted his head, but he remained lying, not even raising his head. The alpha pushed him again. Only annoyed twitching of the ears. Then the elder beast howled, from the forest he immediately responded with a howl of wolves. The pack invites you one last time to join them. Reed's wolf got up uncertainly, looked back at my window, and, encouraged by Morgan, ran towards the forest.

She yelled at the pain of hearing and feeling her bones break and restructure into the werewolf which she had hidden deep within her. Her skin was thick and wild too, and the moment she lifted her head, her eyes had changed, and her muzzle was large, growling aloud at the Phantom before she rushed after it. She moved at a fast pace, striking the Phantom hard around its jaw and its abdomen, throwing it off the ground with all her strength towards a tree. She growled again in the dead of the night, showing off her feats towards the phantom who had cut it short by getting off its feet and jumping on her.

Rollo perked up, waiting for Jack’s answer. “No. Why?” Beta Jack was clearly confused. “On my run today, I ran along the creek. I came upon a wolf. I didn’t recognize the scent and I didn’t recognize the wolf’s eyes when I looked into them. The wolf was a red wolf. She was absolutely beautiful. Her scent was intoxicating. I felt so at peace when I was sitting with her.” I shook my head, realizing that I must sound completely sappy as I talk with Jack.

The sharp fangs receded and became white, perfect teeth. Finally, the wolf became fully human. Her face displayed an ethereal beauty with perfectly symmetrical features, and a gentle smile graced her rosy lips. Her eyes radiated wisdom and tenderness in a unique blend of colors, one greenish and the other deep blue, and her golden hair flowed like a waterfall of ebony.

I had absolutely no shame as I stripped out of my clothes and let Neo take over. ‘Goddess…’ Neo trailed off. ‘Nika is just as gorgeous as Kalen.’ Ah. That was her wolf’s name. I had to agree that she was definitely gorgeous alright. She was a large silver wolf with golden eyes. They met Neo’s, and it felt like he was being sucked into them just like I did with Beauty’s eyes.

The weight in the air stole the words right out of their lungs. Then—crackling. Soft at first. Then growing. A low, eerie hum that crawled across the back of her neck. It was fire. And it was light. And it was alive. They turned. And everything else vanished. There, in the middle of the scorched battlefield, stood two figures so blindingly impossible that the world itself seemed to hold its breath. Two wolves. But not like anything they’d ever seen—not even in dreams. The first—massive, towering, wrapped in fire so pure it bled gold. Every movement of his fur sparked with flame, not chaotic but controlled, deliberate, powerful. His eyes were blue. Deep and endless. Familiar. Burning. Atlas.

So she wasn't an Omega after all. Her wolf....her wolf was stunningly beautiful. A type of beauty that distracts. Don't get me wrong, Celeste as her person is drop-dead gorgeous but there is something about the silver furred wolf that cannot be described. The word beautiful felt so light and unjustifiable for how she looked.
