He returned to the table, sliding into his chair like he’d just finished a warm-up lap. Naya’s pulse thundered. She whispered, “You didn’t even break him.” Zipper leaned close, his voice low. “Patience, princess. I just cracked the paint. Chloe’s next. She’ll peel herself.” When Chloe took the stand, she looked angelic in pale blue. Perfect hair, gentle smile. “Miss Chloe,” Zipper said, his tone bright and falsely polite, “you were Naya’s closest friend. Correct?” “Yes,” Chloe said, voice soft. “We were like sisters.”

Chapter One Chloe’s POV "Arrgggg...fuck." He pounded faster and harder, my hands were clenched to the sheets as he kept on penetrating. "I think I'm going to come." She shifted the mop nervously and stammered, “I… I… I want to… to speak with madam.” Lisa frowned but stepped aside, gesturing for her to enter. “Come in,” she said gently, closing the door behind her. Chloe, barely twenty, looked like a child caught between guilt and fear. She walked straight to where Bella was seated on the edge of the bed. Without a word, she dropped to her knees, her eyes filling with tears.

Rhea frowned slightly. “it’s not that big of deal. They’re just at the edge of the woods.” Chloe pulled her legs out of the water and began to dry them with a cloth. “Wanna go see them? We could even take a few back to the pack house. I’ll see if I can find some seeds to plant.” Rhea was hesitant. “But you don’t seem like a flower type of girl, though.” Chloe pulled her boots on. “But I know you are a flower type of girl, though.” She straightened up. “Stop denying yourself, I know you want to see it too. Maybe give some of them to your boyfriend or something, I don’t know how romance works.”

He reached out and pulled her back into his embrace, eager to continue. "Lionel!" Chloe quickly regained her composure, her voice charged with anger as she covered his mouth with her hand. Frustration clouded Lionel's expression; he didn't like being rejected. Grabbing her hand, he nibbled on her soft earlobe, his voice low and rough, "Don't tell me you don't want this?" "Beast!" she shot back, her cheeks flushing at his boldness. She pushed his head away, doubting how someone with such primal desires could manage a successful business.

Braun's offer while she had the chance. "Hi, my name is Becka, and this is Grace. How may I help you?" The girl on the left asked as Grace smiled next to her. Chloe approached the counter. Becka had bleach blonde hair cut in an angular bob with diagonal bangs. Her light blue eyes were lined in charcoal, and she had bubblegum pink stained lips. "I've never been here but my name is Chloe Harris and I was given a gift from Mr. Anthony Braun," Chloe told Becka.
