Inside the Archive, the shelves moved with my breath. I passed by a book bound in velvet dusk. Its title: The First Time You Chose Softness Over Safety. Another: How You Loved When No One Was Looking. I reached for a third. It burned with light before revealing its name: What You Became When You Stopped Trying to Be Understood. I wept then—not from pain, but from reunion. The guide touched my shoulder. “There’s one more,” they said. They led me to a door I hadn’t noticed.

She wasn't quite sure if she was relieved or disappointed, after all he had insisted he would help her prepare for her first change. Her first change, it was the day of the full moon, meaning that soon when the moon was high in the sky she would become a wolf for the very first time. She had spent the day attempting to meditate and keep her thoughts off of it. Worrying wouldn't get her anywhere anyway. It most certainly wouldn't stop the change that was inevitable.

"Really? I thought so too when I watched me this morning. The book must be working." "What book?" Bar asked Horr. "A book I bought. it was titled: 'How To Become A Great Host!'. Written by Joe Tiger." Horr explained but Wilson and Bar had no idea who the writer was. "Joe Tiger?" Bar asked. "Yes! Joe Tiger!" Horr repeated, looking at Bar as if expecting him to know this Joe. Bar shook his head. "Still doesn't ring a bell?" Horr pressed on. "No!" Bar shook his head. "You... how could you forget just like that?" Horr looked hurt and pouted. It looked kind of funny; a fearful looking giant giving such a face.

Both were really awkward at each other at first but when they found out that both were reading the same book, they eventually got a comfortable to talk at each other. “So, you also read that book-” “Yeah, I got into it after a friend of mine recommended it to me.” “Isn’t it a great book.” “Yeah, I got hooked on it after reading the first chapter.” “bla-bla-bla” Both continued to talked to each other and enjoyed their conversation. “I was feeling an awkward atmosphere growing between our table so I was gonna try to start a conversation but when you brought out your book, I was just surprised to see a person reading it.” The girl said.

It was as if they existed in their own little world, oblivious to the absolutevdiscomfort they are causing me. With a clenched jaw, I watch as she invites him in. My heart pounds crazily in my chest and the sting of jealousy gnaws even more at me from within. Where is this brotha going? I had been working on my book, pouring my heart and soul into it, and I was eager to share it with him. "Hey," he said, smiling at me as he sat down beside me. "How's it going?" I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of trepidation. "I've been working on a book," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Derek's eyes lit up with interest. "A book?" he repeated. "That's amazing! What's it about?" I hesitated, feeling a sense of vulnerability. "It's about my journey," I said. "About my struggles with anxiety and depression, and how I've been working to heal and overcome them."

She felt like she was a kept woman! While being lost in her own thoughts, she didn't notice that Lisa pushed the book that was placed in the table towards her. "Speaking about this book, I've got this for you since you don't have anything to do anyways. It's a book about making pills. You should give it a try." Lisa said. Naomi looked at the book that was pushed towards her. The cover wasn't that ugly nor fancy as it looked quite ordinary. The cover had some words written on it which were "The First Steps of Becoming a Mage" which should be the book's title. The book was somehow thick.

Then she goes to school. The second book finds its readers more slowly than the first. The first book found people who were already doing the work and gave them the language for it. The second book finds people who are at the beginning — who are deciding whether to commit to the kind of practice the first book describes, and who need to understand what that commitment requires and what it produces.
