Bedtime Story For Novels & Stories

The little girl was already in her bed thanks to tina, her eyes drooping sleepily as she clutched her stuffed bunny. When she saw her parents, a sleepy smile spread across her face. “Mommy, Daddy,” she murmured, holding out her arms. “Are you gonna tell me a story?” David smiled softly, leaning down to kiss her forehead. “Of course we are, sweetie.” Lulu sat on the edge of the bed, smoothing back Sage’s hair. “What kind of story would you like tonight?” “Something with fairies,” Sage said, her voice already fading as sleep began to take over.

I picked him off the floor and walked us to the bedroom. "Can't I stay up for five more minutes?" Adrian asked, his beautiful jade eyes shimmering in the glow of his Power Ranger night light. "No, baby, you have school tomorrow," I told him, getting into the bed beside him. "How about a bedtime story?" "Yes!" he squealed excitedly. I chuckled and brought out my phone. After a few pages of the children's book I'd saved on my Kindle, Adrian was fast asleep. Plugging my phone in, I settled beside him, stroking his dark hair away from his chubby face.

Harry continues, nearly breathless, "Daddy said he was gonna tell me a superhero bedtime story! One with a hero that looks just like us. He promised!" Violet's voice softens. "Did he now? Well, that sounds like the best bedtime story ever. But, Harry..." Her tone shifts, firmer but still gentle. "It's late, baby. Way past your bedtime. You need to sleep, or you'll be too tired to play tomorrow." Harry's face falls for a second before he sighs dramatically. "Fine. But only if Daddy tells me the story." "I'm sure he will," Violet assures. "And, Harry?"

She nodded earnestly, her little face serious as she scrubbed away. We then went to their room, where I helped them into their favorite pajamas. Zenith chose his dinosaur ones, while Zendaya picked her unicorn set. “Alright, into bed you go,” I said, tucking them under the covers. “How about a bedtime story?” Their faces lit up, and they nodded eagerly. I sat on the edge of the bed and began, “Once upon a time, in a vast and endless desert, there was a single seed. This seed was special because it had a dream—to become a beautiful flower.”

Matteo, finally in a better mood, called Evelyn over to blow out the candles. She walked up in silence, just about to make a wish, when Rebecca suddenly gasped in excitement. "Oh wow, what a coincidence! Ms. Walsh, you and Elmo share the same birthday! Why don't we celebrate together?" The moment those words left her mouth, the room filled with stifled laughter. Seeing the challenge in Rebecca's eyes, Evelyn dug her nails into her palms. She took a slow breath, her voice carrying a cold edge. "In that case, let the puppy blow out the candles. Everyone can sing for it instead. I won't get in the way."

I said with a small laugh. The remaining nighttime was spent in bedtime routines and warm baths, in stories and toothbrushes. Mirabel insisted on one of Clinton’s old bedtime tales — something about a crocodile and a mango — and I fumbled my way through the story while they giggled under their covers. When they finally dozed off, I stayed a while longer in the hallway, just watching them sleep. Japheth curled toward the window. Jake, hugging his teddy. Mirabel, one leg dangling off the bed as if dreaming of her little bride walk.

Then, in a low, even voice, she began telling stories. She told five. Thomas didn't seem remotely sleepy. In the past, by the third story, Theo would already have been asleep. But she knew better than to compare Thomas to him. Thomas's insomnia ran deep; his body and mind refused to rest easily. Patient as ever, Sharon kept going. She had prepared around thirty bedtime stories that night. If none of them worked, she would simply try another approach tomorrow. But the truth was—she hadn't slept much the night before, keeping vigil over him. Now, lulled by her own soft cadence and the drowsy pull of her words, she began to nod off mid-sentence.

After tucking her in and covering her with the comforter, Iliana spoke. "I want a bed-time story mother." "Your father will read one to you. Adam, please read our little dart a bed-time story." Brenda said as both Iliana and Brenda made puppy faces at Adam. "You know I can't refuse you both when you make such faces." Adam said as Brenda and Iliana started laughing. "Okay, okay, be quiet and let this father tell you both an amazing bed time story." "Yes father." "Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a beautiful princess."

Meg-hen: You are not the only one with a priestly friend and no, boys do not take up even a quarter of our conversation. Me: whatever you say. Goodnight captain Meg-hen: This was the easiest way to make money. I smiled and placed my phone on the bedside drawer before snuggling deeper into my pillow. Falling asleep had become easier since I told Meghan about Freya and the night terrors have reduced considerably.

He seemed just woken up. I stood up and lifted him. I slowly rocked him, put his head between my neck. "Not yet, Baby. Go to sleep again." "I can't, Mommy. I miss Daddy's bedtime stories." He murmured. "I'll just tell you a story." I sighed. "What bedtime story do you want?" "It's about the King and Queen. The King left his Queen in the war so the enemy got the Queen." What the hell. "Baby, why-" I stopped speaking when the door opened. He was surprised to see us. Reid dropped from my grasp and ran towards Wright.
