Tastes Like Damn Chocolate

Finally, Pascal was tucked into bed with his dinosaur, his eyes already growing heavy. "Tell me a bedtime story mommy," he mumbled, half-asleep. Tiana rolled her eyes, why does Pascal always do this to her?

Goodbye, Mr. Ex-Husband, I Won't Come Back

Goodbye, Mr. Ex-Husband, I Won't Come Back

I said and went inside first. I missed another chance to tell him. Perhaps, tomorrow I’d be able to tell him. Lucas settled between us and again I saw how Logan’s face showed disappointment. Was he planning to sleep beside me? “Mommy, can you tell me a story? It helps me to sleep easily.” Lucas turned to cuddle with me. “I am not good with stories but I’ll tell you one tonight about a little girl who was the princess of her parents just like you but one day, she was left alone.” I said.

Secrets of One Night: My Contract Husband

Secrets of One Night: My Contract Husband

He sat on the edge of the bed and kissed the top of her head. “My princess... always smelling wonderful.” He ran a hand through her hair. “What story would you like tonight?” Luna’s face lit up. The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear. Edgar picked up the book and read it slowly, changing his voice for each character, just as he always did. When he finished, he closed the book, said a prayer with her, kissed her forehead again, and tucked the blanket around her. “Sleep well, my princess.”

The King's Rejected Omega

The King's Rejected Omega

--- Meanwhile, in the other wing of the house, the pink-hued glow of Layla’s princess-themed bedroom bathed the walls in warmth. Wanda sat in a plush rocking chair beside the child’s bed, holding a colourful storybook in her lap. The book ’Regina and the Bee’ rested open as Layla watched her with bright eyes, cuddling beneath a blanket of soft pastels and floral embroidery. Twenty minutes passed. Wanda closed the book with a gentle thump and placed it on the nightstand. "All done," she said with a smile. "It’s bedtime now." Layla blinked up at her. "Can I ask you something before sleep?"

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then came bedtime. Reasonable. Peanut already asleep in the nursery. God. Tiny and peaceful. Fair. Meanwhile Lily lay beneath her blankets. Reasonable honestly. Mr. Buttons tucked safely beneath one arm. God. Adrian sat beside her bed. Fair. The usual routine. Reasonable. A story. A goodnight kiss. God. Then sleep. Fair. Or at least that was the plan. Reasonable. Then Lily spoke. God. "Dada?" Fair. There it was. Reasonable honestly.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Your Last Lie to Me! {Book One}

She said as she yawned, “Betsy said that you were going somewhere safe to start a family!” “Oh…um, kind of, yes.” “Could you tell me a bedtime story?” the girl said as she finally gave up the pointless fight and let her self drift to slumber. “Goodnight,” Trie said, her voice shaky and her eyes teary. “Oh, what a mess.”

"Bed time story!!" shouted Hans while holding a picture book that has a green dragon and a white bird on the cover. The title said: The Scale and The Feather. "Yes! Bedtime story!" shouted Ina. she blinked. Liam leaned down, kissing her tenderly on the forehead. "I'll tell you a story, and you'll fall asleep soon." Liam swiped the screen while his beautiful eyebrows knitted. "What kind of story would you like?" Gemma slowly closed her eyes. "I'll listen to whatever story you tell." "How about 'The Tortoise and the Hare' or 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'?" "These are too childish," Gemma said with dissatisfaction, quietly opening her eyes.

The Billionaire's Nanny

The Billionaire's Nanny

I sat with my back on the headboard while Aiden and Abby lay on either side of me, with their heads leaning against me as I told them as much as I could remember from one of the bedtime stories Celine and I were usually forced to sit through back at the foster home. We always found it boring and would be among the first kids to do off before she even read two lines from the story, the other kids would fall closely behind, it was that dreadful. But tonight, the kids found my old, half-complete, gap-filled story fascinating enough to listen to as I tried to lull them to sleep.

The Ex-Wife's Revenge

The Ex-Wife's Revenge

But Willow, with her wide eyes and innocent curiosity, piped up, "Mommy, can we have a story before we sleep, please? A princess story!" She couldn't resist her daughter's request. Stories had always been a source of comfort for Willow, and Tessa couldn't deny her the solace they provided. "Of course, sweetie," Tessa replied, her voice taking on the cadence of a bedtime tale. "Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a strong and brave princess named Lily."
