I nearly choke on it, but I hold it in as though I would not turn invisible if I don’t do just that. Soon enough, the slightly unpleasant warmth starts to evolve into something more intense. It’s painful now, so much so that I have to clamp my lips together to stop a scream from coming through. It feels as though hot wax is being poured on my body, scalding my skin and erasing every cell in my body to make true to its purpose of making me invisible. But just as I’m starting to think that it wouldn’t be over, the pain subsides. “There,” Beta Heather declares. “All done. You will not be invisible and intangible. You will follow me closely so you won’t end up getting lost.”

A heat wave shimmered over Celeste and Vanessa before dissipating like smoke. Vanessa stared at me in disbelief. “What…?” "You're invisible," I hissed. "To everyone but me. But don’t budge; it will not be for long. Don't breathe too loudly. And whatever you have to do, don’t touch anything.” Celeste looked at Vanessa, her mouth half open. “We’re really…?” “Shut up,” I hissed. A second knock… louder, impatient.

“I hope you’re right because right now it feels like we’re ghosts hunting a shadow.” Outside, a car passed slowly on the wet street. Its headlights swept across the window like searching eyes. Everyone in the room tensed until the light disappeared. Leila closed the laptop with a soft click. “Ghost protocol is active,” she said. “No signals in. No signals out unless absolutely necessary. We become invisible.” Joel nodded, but his gaze lingered on each of them a second longer than usual. “Then let’s stay that way. Because the Invisible Hunter? It’s already looking for us.”

The invisible doubles would have been amused by what happened next, but my invisible double didn’t and began to run towards the watery altar with the drawn YESHUA katana in his right hand. The blade was barely six inches from the surface of the watery altar, when the dead seven-headed leviathan suddenly disappeared from where it lay. The next moment, the hollow space atop the watery altar solidified. While my invisible double saw only himself on the floor, due to another bout of rumbling which had just began.

Jason's face rots, revealing the girl beneath. She hisses, the doll's stitches bursting.

We were currently parked a few meters away from a small cottage where we tracked my phone to. I'd explained every single thing to her, from the time run event to meeting Luke and coming to her place. "Yep." I handed her a test tube filled with a mix of both chemicals. "Drink up." I ordered. "But what if we don't go invisible, then what?" She expressed her worry. "We won't know unless we try." I smiled at her. With that, we both gulped down the test tubes content and waited for action. "Look!" She gasped, "you really are going invisible!" She announced.

Slowly, the two little creatures struggled to break free. Before Adrian could make out what the creatures were, the eggshells shattered. Two creatures emerged, revealing themselves to be Invisibees, ranked nineteenth on the ancient spirit insect list. Adrian grinned foolishly as if he had found a treasure while the two little Invisibees buzzed around him in lively circles as if putting on a show. Unfortunately, he was too weak to fully appreciate their display.

I can’t believe that I am begging him like this. Beel looks like he is questioning why I cut him off, but I can tell that he is pushing back the question. “Right this way.” The prince of glutton starts to walk ahead of us and right through the wall of water that Leviathan has conjured. “Hey, where are you—” Beel did not let Leviathan finish his sentence because he starts to walk like he hears no one. The hoard of zombies—yeah, I am just going to call them that—all just gave him a look before completely ignoring him.

Justin snorted and replied, “She doesn’t trust me, but she trusts a man I know. If he likes me, she’ll give me the benefit of the doubt.” After the meeting broke up, Justin found himself handing out orders to first his brother who he explained to briefly what the situation was. He saw his fun-loving brother go from Mr. Mischievous to Mr. Sinister in one second flat. It was like that with them, mistreating children was a sore spot with them all.
