I just learnt how to get a hold of my powers, and the witch hunters were going to be here soon. The woman screamed again. The labour was proving difficult. I could hear the baby straining. It was a girl. I had to think fast, so I did the only thing I could do. “Sameli”. I whispered into the air and everyone fell asleep. I walked slowly to the pregnant woman. She was asleep too. I woke her up. It was dangerous for the Baby. She opened her eyes slowly, and they were the prettiest blue eyes I had ever seen. I saw worry etched on her face. Her veins popping out and going in. Pain. She was in pain.

Her expression had changed, she didn’t seem surprised anymore and that only made me confused. “There is a room behind the kitchen, let’s go there.” She whispered. I quietly stood up to follow her. “Keep your eyes down.” she cautioned. I followed her into the room she had mentioned, and immediately we entered she shut the door as I continued to stare at her in awe. She finally looked at me after she was certain we were alone. “Your eyes are back to normal.” She said as she made her way to sit on a wooden chair in the middle of the room. My head was full of questions.

However, she felt a twig of branch beside her. Someone was behind her, she was sure. As she quickly turned her head to see what was behind her, she found nothing. She brushed it off thinking that she was imagining this stuff. She then quickly sneaked out and reached the lake successfully and called out Boston's name three times as promised. And He did appear with a potion in his hands and an evil smile on his face. They both looked at each other happily as they once again went over their plan. However, somebody else was looking at them. Sniffling and wiping her eyes, trying to not imagine everything that she had been given away, sacrificed for his dream, and when it came to his turn to fulfill her own dream, he pulled a reverse card on her… She stumbles out of the venue, her eyes very moist and her vision blurry. Suddenly, she bumps into a man, but due to the tears in her eyes, she’s unable to see who it is. “I’m sorry.” She mumbles, side-stepping out of his way.

There was silence, but I could see the thoughts behind her eyes as she made her decision. Finally, she raised her head to look at me with bloodshot eyes, and I knew she had finalized what she wanted. I prayed silently that she would see reason and call everything off. “I’ll back down.”

She reflexively raises her arm to cover her eyes. After the wind recedes, she slowly opens her eyes and witness them – the feathery things that latch on his back. She couldn’t bring herself to say a word. Those black and white wings of his struck her wordless. He once again looks the other way avoiding eye contact with her. She bites her lower lip. “I’m not the same as you. Open your eyes.” After telling her off, he disappears leaving her all alone. A drop of tear falls onto the back of her hand.

Ezra asked her, she looked at him,shaking her head. “You see the future, why don't you tell me?,” Ezra insisted, she sighed. “I can't see her fate, Beta. I am sorry,” she said dejectedly, she looked at me. “My inner eyes got blinded before I could finish seeing her fate, the fates are against me seeing it or the moon goddess herself,” she said showing us her inner eyes, a pair of white eyes appeared instead of her normal eyes. “I am sorry,” I said, look away. She smiled and eyes change back to normal.

I looked at the master bedroom and soon felt a pair of eyes on me and looked towards another room and caught a glimpse of an innocent face which I recognised immediately. I saw her yesterday when I was going back. I crashed into her and didn’t bother helping her even when her doe like hazel eyes begged me to. But there was no longer life in those eyes, it was red and there were bags under her eyes. she looked miserable and helpless. I saw her call someone and I understood I was in deep trouble. I immediately left with the satisfaction that I didn’t have to kill again. At least for now I think.

“The same eyes.” A sharp pain exploded behind my eyes instantly. Flash A woman screaming. Silver light consuming an entire room. Blood splattering across stone walls. Golden eyes filled with horror. Then— a voice whispering softly near my ear: “She was the last heir before you.” Present I staggered backward sharply. Kael caught me immediately. “What did you see?” My breathing became ragged. “There was another.” Silence. Dead silence. The creature smiled wider. “Now she remembers.” (Adrian’s POV)

Her hair was silver. Her eyes were mine. She was holding a newborn baby. A man stood behind her. His face was hidden. The woman whispered something. I couldn't hear the words. Then the man raised a blade. Blood spilled. The vision shattered. I stumbled backward. "What the hell..." A sound came from behind me. Footsteps. Slow. Heavy. I turned. Nothing. Then I saw two red eyes in the darkness. My heart slammed against my ribs. I stepped backward. The eyes moved closer.
