Rayan paused as he looked at Anthea, who was staring at the plate in her hand, before nodding at Nevaeh, making her grin happily. “See. We have lilies of the valley and daffodils in our home. Daddy loves it, and I love it too. They are so pretty, just like her.” Nevaeh’s innocent eyes filled with excitement as she pointed her small finger at Anthea while saying the last part. Anthea, however, was once again startled after hearing the little girl's words. What was that? He still had lilies and daffodils in his home. What the hell was that?

Her voice held a melodic quality, like silver bells in a distant meadow. Daphne's laughter danced through the air, a silvery melody amidst the intricate symphony. "Oh, Xanthe, can you just take a deep breath? They wouldn't dare close the doors of the hall if I were not present," she chuckled, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

"Claire! Where are you? You can't just vanish on our wedding day. If you miss today, there's no do-over!" "Who says I'm missing anything?" My voice was a whisper, a phone in my hand. The grand church music played through the call, freezing Samuel in place. "Where are you? What are you doing?!" A faint smile crossed my lips. "I'm getting married."

Still nothing. I study her and add. “If you love nice-smelling fresh flowers, I want to get you at least two hundred stems of Gardenia. I know they smell so good.” When she speaks, her voice is flat and monotonous. “I’ll prefer a Belladonna.” I frown. “Belladonna is a poisonous flower, Bethany.” She flashes me a mean glare that has me quickly apologizing. “Sorry, but it’s a poisonous plant that can cause madness.”

“If you don’t mind, might I make a suggestion?” “Of course!” I reply, happy for the help. “If you like these, I think they will be great, but Luna Calista has been getting mostly red and white flowers through the winter. Since it’s March, we have the March flowers in as well, daffodils. Those are yellow and you could pair those with lily of the valley and have a nice bouquet for your mother.” I agree and she takes what she needs to make up the bouquet for me. While I’m waiting, I hear the bell above the door ring with another visitor and a moment later, my nose is filled with the scent of brownies.

Charlie smiled before he said, “They look like leeks but they aren’t leeks.” Claire replied, “I remember reading in a biology book that daffodils are poisonous, aren’t they?” Charlie nodded as she smiled and said, “My wife is really very knowledgeable. Daffodils are indeed poisonous. There is a kind of narcissus in the daffodil plants and excessive consumption of it can cause food poisoning.”

Alexa ignored it and changed to another topic. "No." "Alright." She said and when Doreen was about to leave. "Tell Blue to meet me, right now." She said and Doreen bit her lips, nodding. "By the way, ma." Doreen said and Alexandra raised her brow, "Do you still love me?" "What?" Alexandra let out a chuckle. "That's what the flowers symbolize. They are Daffodils." Doreen said and the smile left Alexandra's face as she looked at them.

That's what daffodils symbolize. It feels odd for me to admit, but I'm starting to cherish this peaceful feeling enveloping me. It's as if I'm in a deep slumber, and the idea of waking up doesn't appeal to me. I could spend the entire day on this soft feather bed, surrounded by a pleasant floral scent that delights my nose, and bask in the soothing sounds of nature, a melody I never thought I'd hear again. "Nowo, wake up," someone sweetly whispered into my ear, accompanied by the carefree chirping of birds soaring freely in the sky.

She looked over at the pretty girl who was chugging down her hot chocolate, “Will you stay at home tomorrow, Daphne?” Daff and Beryl looked over in surprise. “Wha- she can’t come to uni with us.” Beryl laughed, “Her name is Daffodil. They’re Aunt Agnes’ favourite flowers.” Daff smiled, “My dad used them to propose. I think he gets her a bouquet every month.” Daryl felt her heart tug. They sounded like a cute family. “It’s not a common name but it definitely suits you!” She gave the half-fairy a warm smile.

“Do you need it?” She swallowed. She hadn’t used the Bell in days, was afraid of what the withdrawal would be like. On the other hand, maybe Fallon’s…attentions…would mitigate any lingering problems. Making love to him did seem to give the same sort of pleasure, only deeper and fuller. She blushed just thinking about it. “No. Better keep it here, just in case.” Fallon studied her color and handed the Bell back to his cousin. “Very well. Are you ready to go, Rain?”
