“We have just the thing for you then,” Letty said looking at Anita who nodded in confirmation. Letty walked over and picked up a black velvet box that had been sitting behind the ice bucket. “This is something just from Letty and I,” Anita said as Letty handed me the box. When I opened the box there was a delicate phoenix pendant; the wings were spread and encrusted with tiny black stones and the head, body and tail feathers were made of gold. “It’s beautiful, thank you ladies,” I said as Anita took the necklace from the box and fastened it around my neck.
