Kiema said, patting Kord's arm braced over her front. "The Beast. It comes," Alok said, his pale blue eyebrows dipped low over his tricolored eyes. "Right, yes. You've mentioned. What is the beast and why should I care?" Kiema asked. The group of Wardens jerked back as if Kiema had punched them in the bellies. "The Beast is the natural apex predator of all magical kind. It is the antithesis to any Prime or Prime descendant."

The Nebula Beast, a creature of both beauty and terror, had awakened. I didn't realise I was screaming when a growl sounded from behind me and before I could turn, I was snatched from the tree. A sharp pain ran through my body. I was being carried in the mouth of the beast, and its teeth pierced through my skin. It was running so fast that i felt dizzy, a

On one hand, the human side of me really wants to stop but I know I won't win that battle because the unnatural side me, the one with the beast inside of me is in control and it's almost impossible to be me again once Aurora is fully out of her cage. My blood ran cold. “Contain it! Now!” Mama Felz shouted. Both she and Hazel thrust their hands forward. Golden and violet magic shot out, forming glowing chains that wrapped around the beast. He roared, thrashing violently against them.

She dug her knife in a chunk of meat. Ignoring her parents completely, Ophelia resumed eating. It would have been better if she stayed back and didn't come out to join them at the table. “Now that I'm here, do you want to tell me what's going to happen to my baby? Adrian's child, Father.” Holding back the tears, she asked with a smile. “The Beast is going to find out I'm pregnant sooner or later, or did you even think about that, Father?” “We'll discuss with the beast when he's here.”

She let out a deafening growl that shook the room and attacked the beast, hitting it hard in the face. The beast tumbled backward but managed to lift its legs and tried to hit me in the face, but Cara was quicker. She jumped on the beast and bit its back, yanking out a pound of flesh and then spitting it out. Great, I wouldn’t have wanted to taste the beast inside me. The beast roared again and slammed itself into me, pushing me hard against the wall. Cara let out a deafening growl and tried to push back, but since this was only an illusion, it didn’t improve the strength of Cara, only the size.
