Dad Jason yells into the crowded trees. My parent's auras begin to fill the air, and many of the trespassers begin to shift on their feet. Many glance at each other, and scared looks flash across the crowd. Ben let's go of my hand, and I turn my gaze to his. His eyes are hard, and his face is emotionless as he steps away from me.

Max POV Ben looked at me with worry in his eyes. ‘Father, I want to be with you.’ ‘Ben, your father is old, but not weak. Go!’ I assured him I would be fine. Ben was a warrior in the White Fang pack and obviously more trained and fitter than me. He could easily take over Alex, but this was my fight. Ben obeyed me reluctantly and padded his way to the left while I slowly started walking to the right, checking every room on the way. When I reached the fifth room on the left, I heard a faint voice.
