Chapter 10 You don't deserve Him

Mirabel, Evan's sister, was furious that her sister had gotten married to a young man.

She made an investigation and found out that Benjamin was the richest billionaire in the city of America.

"This bitch—why is she always lucky," she gritted her teeth and said with hatred. Suddenly she had an idea and went downstairs to where her parents were conversing.

"Mother, don’t you think sister is being ungrateful? Ever since she went with the strange man, she has never paid a visit to us."

"Yes, you are right; that unfilially child, I don’t even know what to do with her. The company is in crisis; I heard that man is super rich; I called her yesterday to talk about our crises, but could it be believed she hasn’t picked up our calls till now?" Her father was boiling with anger.

"What should we do, mother? I need to sign more endorsements. My career has not been flourishing recently. Mother, you should do everything to bring her home. And also, she doesn’t deserve that man. Talk to her so she would let go of me; I deserve him, not her."

“Don’t worry; I will know what to do. Let's hope she would pick up the call." Her mother assured her and called her again.

Evana was downstairs enjoying her breakfast when the maid brought her phone.

"Miss, your phone has been ringing more than three times; it might be an emergency." The maid said

"Oh, okay," she collected herself and picked up the call. The number was a strange one, so she didn’t suspect anything.

"Evana, dear, you need to come home right away; your mother—I mean, seriously—has been asking for you and calling out your name. As her daughter, hurry up and come or you would only meet her cough." Her father spoke with a serious tone.

"What happened to my mother?"

"It’s a long story; I will tell you everything when you come home." He hung up after he finished talking.

"Babe, is there any problem? Who called, and why has your mood suddenly changed?"

"It was my father who just called me; he said my mother is seriously sick and she has been calling out to my name. I need to go there right now." She said worriedly.

"Don’t worry, she is going to be fine. But first you should finish all the food before I will permit you. I will be going with you."

"But I have lost appetite; I don’t think I will be able to finish this meal."

"Then you won’t go anywhere."

"Ok, fine, you won. She said that and gobbled down the food. "Can I go?"

"I am going with you; let’s go." They stood up and went straight to the mansion.

Mirabel, who had been waiting, put on a seductive dress; she really looked beautiful. She was hoping the young man would fall for her.

"Sister, here you are; mother is seriously sick, and she doesn’t want to go to the hospital. Please try to convince her." Mirabel said with an innocent tone.

"Don’t worry, she will be fine. Where is she?"

"She is in her room with Daddy."

"Ben, can you please sit on the sofa and wait for me? I will be right back."

"Ok, no problem."

Mirabel was glad. It seems the heavens were on her side today. This is the perfect chance to hook him up.

"Hi, Mr. Benjamin, I am Mirabel's younger sister. Nice to meet you." She said coquettishly

"Oh ok." That was all that Benjamin said.

Mirabel didn’t know how to continue. His reply damned her spirit.

She stood up and drew closer to him, saying, "You know Mirabel can’t see things clearly; she has no qualifications and doesn’t even have a job. I am perfect; I am beautiful; and I have everything a man needs in a woman."

"So?" Benjamin asked coldly, which sent shivers down her spine.

Gosh, he is very cold.

"So think about it carefully and choose me instead of my sister. You wouldn’t regret doing so."

She uttered shamelessly. She was very close to him because, because Benjamin hadn’t replied to her, she thought she had accepted her offer. She wanted to hug him, but unfortunately she was pushed, and she fell on the floor.

…..

After Evana went to her mother’s room, she saw her father sitting beside her mother.

"Mother, how are you?" She was concerned.

"I am fine, my dear daughter. But I don’t think I would survive. "The pain is too much; I can’t take it any longer, and I can see that death is closer to me."

"Don’t say that, mother. You are going to be alright, but first we need to go to the hospital."

"I don’t want to go to the hospital; I don’t want to be injected. I will be fine here."

"Mother, what should you do so you can go to the hospital?"

Even though her mother never treated her well, what can she do? She was still her mother. She never wished for her death.

"Are you sure you would do it?"

"Yes, mother, if it’s within my limit, I would do it; and if it isn’t, I will do everything to get that thing for you."

"Fine, since you said you would do everything for me, then let me tell you what I want."

Leave the man you met at your wedding and give her to your sister. That is all that I want you to do for me.

"What, but why don’t I deserve to be happy?"

"We will take you to school; we will treat you better than your sister. Just give him to your sister. Put me some good words so he would be interested in her."

"Dad, are you also saying the same thing? How could you say such things?

"You are blind; you can’t see things clearly; what’s the essence of dating a young man? I will find a suitable man for you. "He will be richer and more handsome than this man."

"No, I don’t want him; I only want Benjamin. And for your information, my eyes have already healed, and I can now see things clearly.
