True to her words, Lina went to the library as instructed. Behind the massive, ancient bookshelf filled with leather-bound encyclopedias, there was indeed a hidden compartment. Inside, wrapped in a piece of yellowed cloth, was the diary. It was old, its cover worn smooth by time and touch, the pages brittle and yellowing.
