Rippling black fur coats thick muscle, his shoulders rising and falling with every breath. He doesn’t look at me. He keeps his gaze locked forward as low growls vibrates from deep in his chest. When the Berserker lunges, Cain meets him in mid-air. His jaws snap around the Berserker’s throat and I hear the sickening crunch of bone. In retaliation, the beast’s horns lash out. I watch in horror as one gashes Cain’s shoulder, while the other spears his side. Snapping out of it, I reach for my Berettas, but stop when pain suddenly tears through my back. My body lurches sideways, a sharp gasp ripping from my throat as my knees buckle.

He tried delivering another kick to Maverick's abdomen, but Maverick caught the leg in his arms, turning him around and wrapping his arms around his neck, trying to choke off the air from his lungs. Berth struggled to move, struggled to breathe, but in his search for freedom, he drew out his claws and drove them into Maverick's arms, dragging his arms away from his neck as the other yelled out in pain. He pulled the other above his body, pulling him to the ground and still holding on to Maverick's right hand in a bid to dislocate the arm.. But Berth still had his claws out, ready to drive them into Maverick's throat. But while his hands were up, ready to strike, his hand was grabbed by someo

I hear him gargle his last breath and let out a howl of victory. 'Hell yeah, baby. Keep it up.' Micah coos in my mind and my heart flutters that he's close enough to hear me, but the excitement doesn't last long as the remaining rogues descend on us. Luckily they're sloppy and not well trained. Too many come at us at one time and they push each other out of the way, taking them off balance and making them easier to take down. I rip through fur, muscle and bone, chomping on everything that smells like shit. That's the only way I can keep from attacking Griffin. I'm not paying attention to what he's doing, but I know he's getting the brunt of the attack. His larger size signaling a bigger thre

Eriva let out a small growl, her eyes glistening a light shade of gold, her fox coming to the surface. A fight between a golden dragon and a cunning 9 tailed werefox didn’t seem like a good idea right about now. We didn’t want to step into world war z just yet! We had so much on our platter to take care of! “Okay, guys. Calm down. Volkavik, that wasn’t nice, man. We need the phoenix, safe and alive. Or else we will be stuck in this reliquary for as long as your mind allows. We’ve been here for ages now, I think it’s time to get out and if we’re going to get out, we need HER. She is Grisha, remember!” Crescent stepped in putting his hands up. The fade scales on Volkavik’s skin faded and he st

The Helm of Awe covered my left shoulder and on my right was Valknut. Yggdrasil was in the middle and flowing from the roots of the tree was a wolf head. On either side of the wolf was a Jericho 9mm, Kiran’s personal touch to my Zeta mark. From the bottom of the roots, down my spine, was a ghost rune designed by Malachi with my name Jericho adorning the top of Yggdrasil. An hour and a half later Marcus was finished and I put my shirt back on. Tonight I would have to undress with every member of the pack present and shift for the first time in my life.

Right now, the most my body could handle is one single punch. "However, of you decide to forcefully take us out, we'll stop holding back as well. Thus, I won't hesitate to stack my second berserk skill too!" "Your second berserk skill! Is that support to scare us?"Grisha smirked as he gazed at him boasting non stop, "You're pretty arrogant for the leader of a unknown party!"

If the alpha was lost, so was the clan. "Keep fighting, Alpha!" Kelda, the pack's shaman screamed over the rising wind and the crack of lightning crossing the sky. Brodolf threw his head back and howled, the sound long, loud and dripping with pain. Suddenly, he felt a pop, weak as a soap bubble, but a sign that he had won this round. They had once again beaten back the berserker that lived within him. Slowly, his body righted itself until finally he was left lying on his side, naked and spent, upon the frozen ground. Kelda sat next to him, murmuring nonsense and stroking his hair, giving him what comfort she could until he recovered enough to sit up and wrap the blanket she held around his b

"Do you want to harm him seriously?" Ash replied, "I know what I'm doing. He won't die." Griffith couldn't be bothered to argue with this stubborn mule. Approaching from the side, he climbed onto the boxing ring and observed Freddie. Accustomed to being beaten since childhood, Freddie, upon seeing Griffith, curled the corner of his bruised mouth into a semblance of a smile. "Griffith, you seem to be in a good mood." Ash also looked over. Griffith's demeanor appeared calm and ordinary, but those familiar with him could sense his good mood.

“Not a single one of you leaves here alive.” The air thickened with the stench of corruption. The disciples writhed harder, their eyes rolling back as if their master’s voice was seared into their marrow. “Go!” I bellowed. One of the men carrying Grimhold hesitated, panic flickering across his gaze. Then Ryker blurred forward, his claw cutting a line straight for the man’s throat, but I moved faster.

The whole exclusive clique from hell had to no what it looked like to cross me, And this time, they more than crossed me! I dropped onto one knee, then suppressed the howl that came with bones rearranging themselves; ready to give in to the beast that wanted to claw itself way out of my soul when someone gripped my shoulder with the force of the world. I spun around to find Grace with a berserk look on her face.
