Sebastian's POV: I still can't believe my eyes right now. I still can't believe that I am staring at the smug chiseled face of the man standing in front of me. Logan. Logan Pierce. Daisy’s childhood best friend and my former classmate. The name brings back memories that make bile rise on my tongue. We went to the same college, and worse, we were rivals and always competing and on each other's necks. It also didn't help that he and Daisy were inseparable while growing up.

I said honestly. "When Francis and I were in middle school, we went to the summer camp together. We were kind of friends at that point," Logan pauses. "Go on," I encourage him. "Well, let me rephrase that. We were not 'kind of' friends. We were best friends," Logan exhales. I look at him with surprise. Because of how Francis treated Logan, it is hard to believe they were best friends at some point. "What happened?" "Well...I didn't always know I was gay. When I did, I kept it a secret from everyone but Francis," Logan said. "I told him first because he was my best friend, you know."

I didn’t belong here. Logan introduced me to some of the people he called his friends, Tom and Mike. Apparently he still shared a couple of friends with this best friend of his. Spike, he mentioned, couldn’t make it to the party, and was currently traveling somewhere in South East Asia due to his work. Both men were dressed in impressive tailored suits and looked just as handsome, but of course, their attractiveness paled in comparison to Logan’s. He was completely at a different level and I couldn’t stop thinking if I was the subject of envy for a dozen women.

T says with a smile, making Logan narrow his eyebrows. "I said a day with my girl T. You ain't my girl, hell you're not even my type so sorry." Logan teases him, making Dylan chuckle. "Well luckily for you, you're not my type either. But I do want to spend time with my bestie. You need to stop hogging all of her time Logan. I miss my best friend." Troy looks at Sophie giving her puppy eyes. Logan is ready to sneer back again sarcastically but is stopped by Sophie. "T, Logan's just messing with you. We'd love to have you guys over. We'll see you at home ok?"

Sharon shook her head as I down it and poured another. “Are you sharing or is that all for you?” “Oh,” I turned to retrieve a glass for her. “I’m sorry. This shit has got me all flustered.” I poured her a glass and slid it over to her. “I see, but don’t feel bad, I’m in the same boat,” Sharon admitted. “What? With Matt?” “Yes and this is serious,” She gulped down the glass of wine so quickly I watched her immediately pour another. “He’s my son’s best friend!”

“ Layla, if you would excuse me for the moment. Logan is here. He will know what to do.” I hung up on the phone. I seriously doubt that Logan would want to help Ethan. I’ll have to beg him. I go downstairs. After searching for a while, I come across Logan. He embraces me tightly immediately he sees me. “I’ve been so worried about you. What happened to you?” “Nothing happened to me. It’s Layla. There was an attack and she was almost killed.” Logan likes Layla very much because she’s the best friend of his girlfriend. He always has good things to say about her.

His eyes roamed over my face and lingered briefly on my dress before he chuckled. “It’s a party, Jo. I got invited by a friend,” he explained, then added with a teasing grin, “But damn, you look good.” I shifted slightly, feeling a flicker of discomfort under his gaze. “Thanks. Have you seen Rhoda around?” I asked, eager to steer the conversation elsewhere. “Yeah, I think I saw her with a blonde guy,” he said. Lucas. “Wait, she’s your best friend?” “Yep,” I muttered, hoping to move on.

“My heart still wants him…” “Your heart is a part of you,” Logan said. “So you still want him.” “I’m scared he hasn’t changed. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be talking to you about this.” Logan reached up and placed his hand over mine on the ice bag. “Aria. Above all, we are friends. He placed the tray on the coffee table, and stood up straight. “You're funny man, Logan. I'm pretty sure I can tell Avery exactly what your relationship with her sister was like. You'll fill her head with your stupid lies.” “Just get the pills and you can remain delusional.” Logan being bossed around was something I never thought I'd see. But it seems like his best friend has him in a tight leash. It was funny to see.
