Best Humorous Books Novels & Stories

Saturday class was a small group that morning. Some days the roster swelled to the point that we had to move to the library to fit everybody. When I had my druthers, though, I kept it in my own classroom. Easier and more comfortable for me to get stuff done in there without having to relocate, and frankly, the books I had on my shelf to keep bored students awake were better than what our librarian kept on stock. Calvin and Hobbes anthologies, Jack Handey's The Stench of Honolulu, or, for kids I trusted better, Gary Brodsky's The Art of Getting Even: The Do-It-Yourself Justice Manual. Some real gems in my collection.

Since I've already fucked her many times, there is nothing new between us, so I don't understand why she still acts so shy around me. No matter how long we talk, I never get tired of hearing her hilarious stories. Sara is different from other women in that she piques my interest beyond sex. She has a good sense of humor. Each time I read one of her written chapters, I found myself drawn to her more. How she developed such realistic characters for her book is beyond me. While we were on the phone, I was reading her email. I read her story and laughed uncontrollably. She's never written a sex-related chapter this hilarious before.

I wandered through the aisles, running my fingers along the spines, feeling a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. I spent the whole day there, completely lost among the books, reading story after story until I lost track of time. One book caught my attention "The Adventures of Sir Flufftail" a ridiculous but absolutely hilarious story about a brave and very dramatic rabbit knight who went on quests to save stolen carrot cakes from mischievous squirrels.

Liam had an uncanny ability to infuse laughter and light-heartedness into any situation. His jokes, witty remarks, and playful banter seemed to dissolve the weariness of the physical work we were engaged in. The repetitive strokes of the paintbrush and the meticulous care required to refurbish the furniture might have been tiring, but Liam's humor was a refreshing reprieve. It kept us going, and his ability to make even mundane tasks feel like fun was a testament to his infectious spirit.

It’s a good thing I know someone. “The thickness of the book is bad isn’t it? I fell asleep while reading. “I looked at that book. It’s not too thick, just right. “Yeah.” That’s all I answered because they might say I’m arrogant. Larissa managed to change the atmosphere with her silly jokes. He always joins me. So I’m just laughing too.

"She gets a good-night kiss, too." "Done." "And positive affirmations." "Uh-hub." "And...and..." "Klaus." I gripped her shoulders, forcing eye contact on her. "Go." I read the child Gravity a ridiculously humorous book called I Need a New Butt. To me, it was the height of literature. Fart jokes? Yes. Crack jokes? Yes. Stupid pranks? Yes. The child was a handful, but at least she had an idea about selecting good books. I then covered her with a blanket as if to smother a fire.

My first stop was the romance section, hoping to find a few good books to take back to my room for some relaxing reading. As I scanned the titles, one in particular caught my eye: The Toad and Her Man. The title alone made me burst into laughter. It was so absurdly funny that I couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of what the story might entail. I decided to add it to my growing stack of books.

"Wendy loves me. This isn't over—" Wendy gave her answer right away, and it was a big, fat slap across Zack's face. "Don't listen to him, Felix. I don't like guys like him. He's just a toy. A toy I throw away once I'm bored of him." She held up her thermos and uncapped it. The air was filled with the aroma of mushroom and egg custard. "You must be hungry. I got this for you."

I glared at him, and he noticed it. “What?” he asked innocently but a smirk is very evident on his lips. “What’s funny?” I asked really mad. He raised a brow; amusement is in his eyes. “I am reading a funny book,” he said. My eyes went down to his book, and it was really scientific so why the hell a funny topic would be there? He’s annoying. I just rolled my eyes and walked out to find a fine book that I can read. I stopped in the history section and stared at the books and without noticing I am now smiling.

I want her here every morning, making me coffee while I cook her eggs. I want to watch those gold-flecked eyes peeking over the top of her mug as she tells me something brilliant. I want to earn that easy smile by saying something humorous. Record scratch, I'm not funny guy. I never say anything humorous except I had in the Elevator. I'd made her laugh then, Around her I turn into someone else. Someone better, You're not the bad guy.
