The Howling Throne

The Howling Throne

She met his gaze once more. “You will become the monster the world fears.” Elior swallowed hard. Bram let out a low whistle. “Well. That’s not terrifying at all.” Freya ignored him. “So what do we do next?” Myrra stepped away from the pedestal. “The Crown must be understood before it can be mastered.” Rael nodded. “Then we need to find the records. The history that was buried.” Myrra’s expression darkened. “That will not be easy. The last of those records were hidden centuries ago—scattered across the land.”

I snapped at him while leaving the office. I went upstairs to my bedroom, and I put the books on the bedside table and the first one I grabbed was called 'The History Of Morda'. I poured myself a drink and I sat on the bed and opened it to the first page. It was established in the 1300's and it was a mystical land full of creatures that didn't belong on Earth. Someone didn't want them to be extinct, so they created Morda and sent the creatures to live there. Dragons and beats and Ogre's. Dangerous creatures. Why would anyone want to save those animals?

Love the story as well! Trying to hang in and keep going, but as everyone else has said the cost is astounding! The book is still ongoing and to read up to date from where I am would cost me $50 !! ...

Excellent book!! Characters are great and well developed. The story line is awesome, it keeps moving and doesn’t get stagnant or repetitive! It’s a long story but well worth it! This is the 3rd book I’ve read from this author doesn’t disappoint!!

Her Lycan Mate

Her Lycan Mate

I asked. “Another one of his historical smuts.” Henry replied, raising his voice to grab Ron’s attention. “This is fine historical literature not smut.” I snorted at that. “Fine historical literature my ass.” Henry said. Hen was right. I had once searched for a book in Ron’s vast library that did not involve a Duke being wickedly seduced by a temptress or a Highlander spilling his seeds into a moaning fair maiden and had not found any. Not that I was complaining, they were quite educative.

She Ditched Her Scumbag Husband After Her Amnesia

Helma looked solemnly and reached out to touch the book's pages. "Since it was my room that he sneaked into, the person must think that this thing is in my hands." Neil's face turned cold. He took the book from Helma's hand. "What's so great about this book? Its value is so immeasurable to the point of harming someone?" "The other party is very powerful and secretive. From the surface, the Book Of Medical Remedies is a unique copy from the Medieval Age, and that period was the peak of traditional medicine development."

The Rise of the Frost Dragons (Blue Triangle Series #2)

Tristan finally spoke up as he closed the big book which was all about the geographical history of Northrend region. The old man paused from reading the book aloud and cast a glance at Tristan. “Is something the matter, your grace?” he asked in a cranky voice. “Everything here is ‘the matter’, Maester Luwin,” Tristan gestured his hands towards the bunch of books on the wide table. “I told you, I have no interest for books and for all of these… nonsense...” “With all due respect, your grace, but these are not nonsense,” the maester closed the book he was holding and let Tristan see its front cover. “These are the historical documents critical for the royal education of every member of the Ara

Curse Of Tethys, Hellblades Series Part 3 of 3

I steadied myself, gripping the rungs tightly before letting out a long breath of relief. “Be careful!” Manolya scolded from below, though her tone was far more worried than angry. I didn’t seem fazed in the slightest. Instead, my eyes lit up with sudden curiosity as I peeked inside the book that had nearly knocked me out. The front page read: Beçin Chronicles: A History of the Byzantine Castle and its Mythical Beings. “It’s from the 1400s!” I exclaimed, my voice filled with pure excitement. Manolya could hear the frantic energy in my tone as I carefully flipped through the soft, worn pages.

Lost to Earth: Book Three

Lost to Earth: Book Three

Lastly, men in chain mail and armor were strutting around, their spurs clanging with each step as the men approach their giant mounts. The horses are also in armor with a boy holding the reins. I am in the Medieval -Fucking-Times! And I'm not talking about the restaurant with the jousting in New Jersey! 4 The sight would be a historian's wet dream! A history minor myself, I was awestruck about my current placement in time. But the reality was also setting in because the Medieval Times was a place of barbarism and cruelty, veiled in chivalry. What a hypocritical time this

The Dragon's Stone

The Dragon's Stone

I pause for a moment, “Have you found anything in the books?” Taran shakes his head, “No, history is completely different. Even the castle’s history is wrong. It was expanded in the 14th century and funded by an Earl thanking us for keeping the vampires from invading. These books say the Earl built it in the 14th century.” I turn and look at the mythology section of the library. Whispering, “I wonder,” I get up and begin looking for books on dragons. “What are we looking for now?” Taran asks curiously.

MY BULLY STEPBROTHER IS A HOCKEY ALPHA

I held his hand and felt his bond and knew, with the specific certainty that came from feeling rather than thinking, that he meant every word. "Okay," I said quietly. "Okay," he agreed. He reached over with his free hand and opened the book on the side table beside his chair. The medieval history. He angled it so I could see. "Chapter twelve," he said. "The political dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire." He glanced at me. "Mildly relevant to pack politics if you know how to read the parallels." I looked at the page. At the dense text and the marginal notes in his handwriting.
