“So you know how they say aliens don’t exist and there’s no life on other planets?” A knot formed in the pit of Liv’s stomach. “Yes.” “It’s not technically true.” Bella smiled. “Which part?” “All of it. You’re currently millions of light years away on a shifter planet called Nova Aurora. This planet is inhabited by shifter aliens.” She glanced out the window again, noting the purple trees surrounding the area, and a sea of rainbow flowers moving with the wind, creating a soft wave of multicolor. If she wasn’t on another planet, then she’d been brought to some undiscovered part of Earth. Highly unlikely.

“That’s very Slaughterhouse-Five of you.” For those who don’t know, Slaughterhouse-Five is probably the most famous book by Kurt Vonnegut. Although it’s an anti-war story about the firebombing of Dresden during World War II, it’s also a science fiction novel. “And let me know how the Smith ones are, I've been meaning to check him out.” A few minutes later Janice lay down on her cot and gingerly opened one of the books. She was always careful with books she got from the library, especially those that came from other places. She had an almost obsessive fear of damaging one of them and being told she could no longer borrow books. The thought disturbed her so much that she started to flip past the title pages and began to read. Before long, she was drawn into the novel which seemed to be about two races of aliens and their struggles over a galaxy that would one day be called the Milky Way. She was totally engrossed in the narrative when the words beg

Various theories have the library being built there by aliens, by a civilization ten thousand years old, or by a race of vampires. Caitlin let the book fall from her lap, her mouth open in shock, and it landed with a thump on the floor. She sat straight up, feeling a jolt. She suddenly felt wide awake, as if she had just lost all sense of time and place. She picked the book up again, her throat dry, and read the words again and again, desperately, like a castaway starving for water.

It was during this moment that she realized she was having some sort of vision. As she turned to see what was in the distance. Her eyes went wide as she saw thousands of alien creatures marching towards their position. First thing she thought of was how far in the future would all this take place. Second was who did that army belong to? Alicia knew that no matter what, the Collective had armies in case a war broke out. What threw off was the appearance of these soldiers. They were unlike any Celestial race she'd ever seen, and she had studied on every race in the Five Realms since she learned how to read. The most likely thing she could think of was that they were never documented or they we

I shrugged my shoulders, "Doesn't matter. That doesn't stop it from becoming reality." "Whatever," Noah mumbled. "There are many much more reasonable things that could end the world. It's more likely there would be an asteroid attack or a nuclear holocaust. Maybe global warming but even aliens are more likely than zombies." I started laughing, "Yes, Noah, the world is going to end because Aliens will finally decide to take over." Noah propped himself up on his elbow so he was looking down at me as I laid there laughing. Our hands were still intertwined as he smiled down at me while I laughed.

"It's just so bizarre. I feel like there is nothing wrong with me and yet at any moment, I could end up with this excruciating pain and no reason for it. I know the doctor's mentioned stress and I am working on that but, I don't know…I just feel like that's not the reason behind these weird headaches." The smile on Sid's face was soft but spoke volumes of his concern and empathy. It was another thing about these aliens that Camille found surprising and curious. They looked like gods, were apex hunters in their own right and yet underneath the beautiful exterior and superhuman strength was a being that was wise and caring. Even Sid, who had a reputation of being a bit of a Casanova, had the n
