My Cursed Sadistic Alpha : Sebastian’s Curse

My Cursed Sadistic Alpha : Sebastian’s Curse

Carolina. It was written by Sebastian's mother. "When life becomes meaningless....poetry heals."— 5th January, 1994. I put the book back in its place before I moved on to finding the previous book I left unread. "I thought I was never going to find a new reason to live, but it seems like I finally have a reason to keep fighting. A little soul is growing inside of me, I am going to be a mother."— 18th June 1994.

Alpha Atlas

Alpha Atlas

A shrine to the people I've lost sitting right on my bed-side table. Picking up the pristine copy of my Dad’s poetry book, I fanned through the crisp pages. It had once been a ritual of mine to fan through the book during hard times. I would close my eyes and choose a poem at random. It was once a way to stay close to my Dad, but now had turned into a habit. With my eyes closed, I let my finger land on one of the many poems. In the end, the treasure of life is missed by those who

I normally don't write comments but I need to tell you that I wait everyday for more chapters. your writing makes me feel like I'm the one experiencing this first hand and I'm always begging for more. so beautifully written and I love every minute of it. if I could I'd give this book a million stars

This book was slow at first and filled with a lot of pain, but I find myself being a sucker for the wounded girl who becomes a strong, badass fighter. While I'm still clamoring for more of the raw, love/hate relationship in this book, I am enjoying the determination of the strong female protagonist.

Science fiction: The believable impossibilities

Science fiction: The believable impossibilities

I am disputed as if I have never won. Reason dwells in everything, but there is no way you can lift yourself above the limits. Humans, they say, are going to die for a cause worth living for. What a miracle life is. No one here hears nor believes in me. I am astonished I am gifted with life. They need more than labelled enough to live. I can live without love, but I cannot live without living. My God created a life that's enormous despite everything that dares to exist with it. Here is what I wrote in poetry of my search for cure for every disease and ultimate death!

OBSESSED WITH MY HUSBAND’s FRIEND

OBSESSED WITH MY HUSBAND’s FRIEND

"Why don't you see if anything speaks to you?" I wander through the narrow aisles, breathing in the scent of old paper and ink. My fingers trail across familiar names—Plath, Oliver, Neruda—poets I used to know by heart. I pull out a slim volume of Mary Oliver's work and flip to a random page: "Tell me, what else should I have done? Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"

A Life Left Behind

A Life Left Behind

In my previous life, Derick had his fling with his so-called 'sister' Jasmine before he ever knew me. All the while, unaware of the truth, I was running the mafia business and raising their child myself. They were busy dreaming about their love child and blowing through the cash I made, which ended up costing my son his life. I poured my soul into making their kid my successor, and they just sat back and enjoyed the spoils. My boy and I? We were just pawns in their perfect life! Fate handed me a do-over, and this time, Derrick and Jasmine would be dealt with a well-deserved retribution!

, he asked. "Of course not, tell me more!", she said with enthusiasm. "Music and reading books were my only escape from the evilness surrounding my life. I used most of my money to buy CDs of classic albums. Then once I got it, I pretend that I live inside the music and don't think about what's happening in my life. Same goes for books; once I start reading, my eyes are glued and I could have a good time reading something that I enjoy. That is why music and reading is so crucial to my life. Without them, I could have ended my life and no one would have cared. I wouldn't have found my passion in poetry if I didn't pick up a book or bought a CD. So music and books really did save my life and d

Shadows and First Blood

Shadows and First Blood

“What do you read when you’re not being paid to alphabetize it?” “Receipts,” I deadpanned. “And warning labels.” He laughed. Not loud. Real. It landed in the center of me and spread warmth in all the places hunger liked to live. “Poetry,” I admitted after a beat. “The kind that cuts and then kisses the wound. Histories written by the losers. Field guides for plants that are trying to kill you.” “Useful,” he said. “Necessary,” I corrected.
