My house seemed the perfect fit for me, and I liked that it was a bit tucked away from things so I could enjoy my privacy somewhat as well, without hearing the hustle and bustle of the pack house even after hours. Washing my face quickly I grabbed my latest read, a romance novel of course because what girl doesn't desire some romance in her life? Even if it can only be found in the pages of a book. The cover displayed the typical damsel in distress in the arms of a rugged looking man, your usual romance trope if you will. (Lancelot’s POV) The novel “The Love of My Life” is a story best suited for teenagers. That being said, some of the topics discussed in the novel weights heavily on romance compared to other elements, world building included. Because of that, the scale between the love interests’ life stories and others’ life stories tipped unfairly to the love interests’ side. Not like I have any problem with it when I read it. Because, I’ve read somewhere before that other than fantasy books with hellishly long storyline and particular world building, books which was written to suit the romance genre shouldn’t depict too much of characters’ other than the main characters’ life.

Watching her wake up has become one of my new favorite pastimes and I don’t want to miss it this morning, although she won’t wake up for another couple hours at least; she’s a night creature. I get up and walk back into the bedroom. Stopping at the foot of the bed, I laugh softly as I see the three of them tangled up in each other’s limbs. I then proceed to our library nook in another corner of our room, sit in my favorite chair, and pull out the romance novel I started to read last night. It is a good one. A story about an author who gets a movie deal and gets tangled up with the three male actors who audition to play characters in her book.

"Whatever happened to love each other first then... then doing the deed after. Is everyone after physical contact only these days? What about getting to know each other first? Chivalry? Romantic date?" I sighed and stopped spinning, facing my laptop and visiting a bookstore's site to see what books sell. Ah, of course, my book wouldn't be in the top 10, and I didn't hope so; what's staring back at me is the top 10 best-selling books for the week, where five of ten are Erotic Romance books. "And I thought my company wouldn't be like other companies who are after profit; I was wrong. Then again, business is business."

Moreover, she had read a lot of romance novels back then where the heroine was adopted and raised by her foster parents and brother like a child bride. She was influenced by them, thinking that if she could marry James. Then, she could live forever in the Burts, be with the ones who loved her, and enjoy wealth and prosperity forever. Of course, I also have other books. For some reason, 'Endless Poison Love' is my favorite romance novel because I can feel the Author's feelings being poured into it. Sure, the plot, characters, scenes, words, and lessons are good, but it's the Author's way of writing that has got me hooked. She's a genius.

I know it’s kinda cliche but we all want young adult stories at times to remind us of our teenage days (LOL). I’m off to writing my new baby.
