She approached him cautiously, a nervous flutter in her stomach. "Alex," she said, her voice a whisper.
He turned, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Hazel! What a surprise. I was just thinking about you."
"Really?" Hazel asked, her cheeks warming.
"Absolutely," he said, his eyes twinkling. "I've been trying to think of the perfect poem to share with you."
He pulled out a book, a collection of Rumi's poems, and flipped through the pages until he found one. "This one," he said, reading aloud, "it seems to fit our story."
