House of Horrors Part 1

House of Horrors Part 1

She peered over the edge of the bed and saw the book lying on the floor, as if it had revealed some hidden secret. She hesitated, then reached out and picked it up. The cover was strangely cold—colder than paper should be, as if it had absorbed the night's chill or carried with it an unknown breath of darkness. She returned it to the table and turned again, pulling the blanket tighter around herself, her eyes squeezed shut. Yet her heart still pounded with restless anxiety, whispering that his fall hadn't been accidental, but deliberate.

But surely a man as rich as him would have a book or two? And he did. A whole room full. And in a room that was free of his scent. I ran my finger along the spines of the books, scanning for something to read. Sure enough, they were all in Spanish but there was also a Spanish-English dictionary and that combined with my pre-existing Latin and Italian knowledge, I was able to sit down and slowly decipher a Latino thriller. Although continually having to pause and refer to the dictionary which somewhat destroyed the suspense, I found myself getting completely engrossed in the book. I also considered how much I hoped Andrea hadn't read it. The main character was a serial killer with some fairly

I truly enjoyed reading this book. There were parts the the feeling became very intense and I had to put it down. Then, once I was ready, I picked it back up and couldn’t put it down until it was finished. The story played in my head, predicting what might happen next, and I found it hard to sleep. TY

This is one of the most riveting books I have had the pleasure to read. Even though I haven’t slept in 2 days I couldn’t put it down and finished reading it over the past 6 hours. While it is a story of wars, rape, beatings and constant struggles reading it has allowed me to find peace. Thanks 💕

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Journal (Book 4)

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Journal (Book 4)

I did my best to take care not to scratch the leather, but when it fell into my arms, I noticed what looked like a fresh dig. Books were not as common in that era as they were in the future so I felt bad about causing damage to it. My lamenting lasted only briefly. An intense curiosity took over just as soon as I realized that it was a journal. It was not just any journal, either. This journal belonged to the late Elsbeth Sleuth. Could the deep, dark family secret be discovered within its pages? I simply had to find out. Lowering myself into a comfy nearby chair, I opened to the first page and focused on the elaborate handwriting. It took some time to familiarize myself with her dramat

I slip under the covers and open my e-reader getting back to the book I didn't get the opportunity to finish yesterday because I decided prancing around the forest like Bambi seemed a better idea. Two chapters later something changes outside Elliot's home. The wind dies and there's a knock. I stiffen, not wanting to move in case it comes again. Rocky, the world's worst watchdog, snores on my feet. I sit coiled, my back ramrod straight as I listen to hear if it comes again. It does and I freeze, not even letting my gaze roaming the space. That time it wasn't a knock so much as a groan. There's a racket, a shot just past the home. A lightning strike, except there isn't a storm in the sky tonig

OMG one of the BEST books I’ve read on this app. Freaking hilarious with lots of action and romance. I was literally LOL-ing. Like late at night. Laying in my bed. At 2am. Cause I couldn’t stop reading. I’m pretty sure you all know what I mean… could not stop reading!!!

Absolutely 1000% the best stories I have ever read!!! I was so hooked I have read almost 24 hours straight because I didn’t want to stop. I have laughed, smiled, been on edge when action unfolded, even shed a tear or 12 more in the last day reading this than in 40 years of daily reading. I want more

Briar Reef Murder Mystery

Briar Reef Murder Mystery

Don clasped and unclasped his hands on the desk a few times to hide the fact that they were now trembling uncontrollably, no doubt, but Detective Sparks saw it all. As a cop, youÕre trained to know when youÕre on the right track, and when to push forward with a line of questioning that might get you what you want from a suspect. It was obvious that these two were guilty as hell about something or the other. Celia wasnÕt sure if sheÕd expected to find her killer among these two though sheÕd been sure that they at least knew something about what was going on with her case.

HIS VICIOUS REVENGE | BOOK 2

HIS VICIOUS REVENGE | BOOK 2

Emma could feel him even before she saw him. His alluring cologne, the warmth of his body, the intensity of his stare on her back. A wave of shivers traveled down her spine as she heard the faint click of the lock. The poor girl stiffened knowing what awaited her. Soon his footsteps grew louder and her heart began to beat faster. As she heard the subtle rustle of his clothes, she clasped the expensive fabric of her dress a little too tightly in nervousness. He was getting undressed. Her body tensed, hazel eyes shut in sheer dread.

I fear the author is not well, as I ve been serching on various platforms, hoping to find the end of the story. It s how I found out the author s name, and the fact that she is not active on her accounts any more. The book is by far the best I ve read by now. Author , please answer of you are ok.

His Sinful Desire

His Sinful Desire

My thoughts kept drifting, pulling me away from the plot and back to the darker corners of my mind. The book was one of those suspenseful thrillers, full of secrets and betrayals, the kind of story that would normally have me hooked. But every twist on the page only reminded me of the real-life twists that had unfolded recently. Every deceit, every bit of violence written so neatly in these chapters felt uncomfortably close to home.

Instead, he replied with actual books I’ve read before in my first life that he firmly hated. “‘Darkness Within’ is my first recommendation. Absolutely amazing. ‘Death, are you real?’ is also good, as well as ‘The Next Morning’. Those three are my best picks.” I blinked several times, visibly surprised. Earlier events completely shoved to the side as this new discovery of Cassius Silverton reading thriller books had me utterly nonplussed.

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

He had been busy arranging the publication process since the two of them met in Elgerson to discuss matters. First was the early promotion stage. After 12 years of silence, the mystery novelist, Mindy Harrison returned with a new suspense thriller following her hit novels, "Murder Weapon" and "The Deserted School". The selling point was there, but… the response wasn't great. Firstly, Mindy had been disconnected from the thriller novel industry for many years. While her reputation remained, her previous glory had faded after a new generation of writers cropped up. Most readers didn't care much for her anymore.

This is a good book. I enjoyed reading it. It’s been a week now with no new chapters. At least end the book with an ending instead of just left it hanging. It’s getting more interesting & I know the readers would like to continue reading it. You know the feeling without closure, no satisfaction.......
