“I remembered hearing stories about a wolf like the one you described, so I searched through the archives. I found a few things that might interest you.”
He slid two large, weathered books across the desk toward me. Their covers were cracked with age, the titles faded but still legible.
“‘The Myths of the Lunar Wolves,’” I read aloud from one of them, my fingers tracing the embossed letters.
“And this one,” he said, tapping the second book, “is more about their origins. It’s fascinating, really. The white wolf is said to be connected to something ancient, something powerful.”
I swallowed hard, my mind racing. “Why… why would I dream of it?”
