Best Wolf Books Novels & Stories

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

- I don't know why I felt in my heart that my mother wanted to say more than she did. This wasn't the first time in my life, but since my father died this has gotten worse. - Mom? You didn't even seem too shocked by the location of the guy's house! - It's just that you finally have your breakfast Beck! We're leaving in thirty minutes to fix our hair for tonight. My mother didn't like to answer questions. I was used to it enough by then, so I didn't question anything anymore. I didn't question my father's obsession with wolf artifacts and legends, I didn't question why she wore a protective necklace against something that only existed in my books.

My eyes burn from the long time without blinking, but I'm surprised by a third beep that makes me close my eyes. The noise when the two wolves attack each other is chilling. I never saw animals attacking each other before when I lived on the island with my Mothers and Sisters. There was a balance even among the sparse wildlife. All I know about wolves is what I read in old books, because I was always curious about animals I didn't know about, and that's exactly how I read it before. Male wolves attacking each other for territory. This Something Belven tries to hit the Prince with his spear, but is repeatedly hit by the claws of the other, who growls much less, silent and lurking, waiting for

Unlike what I expected from a wild animal, the wolf only looked at me with a strange sort of understanding in its eyes, and it turned its head to let me look at the wound closer. I placed my hand on its head, feeling the soft lovely fur under my fingers and palms. The wolf was a strange one, I thought, using the watering can to rinse the wound out. It seemed to have intellect if it knew I wouldn’t harm it. I continued cleaning the wound, humming to myself unconsciously. When I was done, I looked into its grey, striking eyes. “Can you hide in the bushes? You need to rest,” I stated gently, brushing its fur with my hand. “I’ll come by to check on you, okay?”

Miss you guys. Then I drop the phone again. My hands are shaking slightly. The silence of the large, unfamiliar room hums around me, a waiting silence. I break it first. “So, Isla… what are wolves actually like? Besides possessive and obsessed with titles.” She chuckles, a comforting, rolling sound in my mind. "Depends on the wolves, really. These ones? Traditional. Bound to cultures, customs, rituals, and strict hierarchy. Honestly, they cling to traditions more than any other supernatural creature I know. It's their method of staying grounded and hidden."

I didn’t want that to linger. Amazed by the interior and structure of the library, I walked around until my eyes caught a title: “A Wolf Before Title.” “It looks interesting,” I murmured, taking it from the shelf. I opened the first page and read aloud: “Before a wolf is granted a title—before it is called Alpha or Beta, or even Omega—it must first wrestle with itself. Strength is not only in the body but also in the restraint of the heart. To bear the fire within without letting it consume you… that is the first test of any wolf.”

She walked closer to one of the big shelves and touched it. She knew she wasn't supposed to be there, but she couldn't help looking around more. She took one book from the shelf and cleaned off the dust on it. She saw a picture of a black wolf on the cover of the book, which was titled A Pack of Wolves. "I can't believe a man like him reads fantasies." She scoffed. She was going through the books when her eyes suddenly caught a book. The book had a black cover with no picture on it. "Werewolves rule." She read it silently. She was about to open the book when she suddenly heard something whispering behind her.

Their gazes lock, “It means that fire wolves are the most dangerous werewolf created, and that’s why they must remain pure.” She cracks up. “This sounds so much like a fairytale, and I’m not surprised. It’s the kindergarten book along with that one as well.” “Hey! Do not make jokes, Jac, these are the only books so far that graze over who you are. There are over a thousand books written about werewolves lore and none is written about fire wolves except these two and it was very hard finding them.” he frowned at her. “I’m sorry then for making fun of them and disregarding your effort.”

We are left alone and I lay down so the twins are between us and they all 3 falls asleep. I need to go find that book and put it away. Find the books with facts about blessed wolves. We need the facts, not the stories about how they were used and kept captives. We all know how cruel our species can be when there is something we want. Or maybe we should just burn all books. And just wait and see what will happen in the future.

“She’s not anymore.” “What?!” she blurred out, surprise written all over her face. Hmm, guess she hadn’t gotten the memo... “Alpha Ashley has a wolf now, an alpha wolf,” I explained, remembering fondly when a huge black wolf just casually took a walk next to Gaia’s white one – and Dargan’s enormous beast didn’t seem to mind at all. That had been a morning… Fucking asshole enjoyed giving me a fucking heart attack!
