After all, the neighbors would definitely suspect that something was going on if they were to notice the haul that I brought home. Many survivors died in the hands of their allies during the early stage of the outbreak.

The general leaned forward slightly, studying their expressions, and asked with intense curiosity: "What would bring so many workers onto your farm when you're not here?" Areej answered hesitantly: "I don't know, sir... perhaps they went to the farm to rest after work, or something like that." General Hisham turned his gaze to them, his voice a mixture of anger and sorrow: "Your children, Zein and Zina... were they killed by worms?" Areej answered calmly, gathering his courage: "The worms were huge and strange, like sharp teeth... unlike ordinary worms that attack dead things."

No one had visited this place in a long time; even just one visitor… was enough to make his heart rejoice—rejoice because it signaled that someone still remembered this place. BOOOOMMM…. BOOOOMMM…. Graooor! “Damn it, this really isn’t easy. How can there be zombies carrying bombs in their hands? Who created these zombies?” asked Xiao Chen as he ran, chased by so many zombies. And the zombies’ madness was making Xiao Chen dizzy—because every time he destroyed one, ten more would appear, ten times as many as before.

Memories flooded back to her as she read about her father's struggles with being a vampire, his innermost thoughts and feelings about their kind and their place in the world. she began to realize that there was more to the journal than just her father's personal musings. There were mentions of a group of vampires who believed that their kind should rule over humans, and who were willing to do whatever it took to achieve their goals. Celess felt a sinking feeling in her stomach as she read on. She had heard whispers of this group before - they called themselves the "Purebloods," and they were notorious for their extreme views and violent tactics.
