Not Just, The Beta Novels & Stories

Who was this person he mentioned who wouldn’t like the idea of a mate bond? “Beta Keto, you are here,” the rude woman said, appearing out of nowhere. Her face was filled with fear and respect as she walked towards the man, who remained relaxed, his eyes focused on me. Beta? This was his Beta. The rude woman who called herself the woman of the house, whose name I later discovered was Ruth, glanced around as if searching for something and asked, “Where is the Alpha now?”

At that, the wolf in front of her turned his glare to me, like I was the one who was in the wrong. "Do not speak of my mate in this way, human." He growled at me. Before I could open my mouth to call him a piece of shit for protecting this hearless bitch, Travis came out of nowhere and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him off the ground by at least a foot. "Talk to my mate like that again and I will rip your balls off with my bare hands." He hissed at him. I knew Travis was the Beta, which apparantly gave him more power than this wolf I had not yet met, so he immediately began to beg.

I didn't save the queen and I feel sorry about my failure. No you need no longer to worry Lydia, most time people don't get so lucky and you strive your best, it is now not convenient to be available all the time, most of the time humans do not recognize when is their time to die.. I know my queen and am sorry.. You do not need to apologize Lydia and with the aid of your way if it is not plenty of a bother please do explain to me what a beta is.. Ok my queen, a beta is the trustworthy person that can remain close to the Alpha or any member of the royal family. The queen loves me and depended on each component of me and she is aware that I will never fail her..

I mimicked, looking as confused as I felt, “What does that mean? I understand he is the Alpha but this could have been settled at home. Why is he offering me work through you?” Thomas's face twisted at my questions, his eyes pleading with me but I ignored them as I picked up the offered documents. My expression darkened, “What the heck is this, Beta? Why is the job offered not even in my major? Is there something I should know?” “No, of course not. It's just we thought this would be the best fit for you, but if you don't like it we can…” he trailed off, looking at me expectantly as though expecting me to tell him not to worry and take the offer.

With everything that was happening around me, I made a mental note about NEVER, NEVER discussing any of my plans with mom over the phone and would share the same with Mom. I repeat again that ‘JUST THE TITLE OF BETA FEMALE was given to me, not the powers and authority, not until I would get marked and mated with the Beta of the pack. After all this, both the pairs got themselves busy thanking the guest and all the tiny little functions that followed after that. “Are you getting bored?”, The Beta asked. Maybe he would have seen me making faces. “Yeah! I want to leave from here.”, I responded, getting irritated.

I thought I should try Cody, I linked him and it went through to my surprise. Steven- Cody? Cody- what can I do for you beta steven? Steven- beta ? Cody- beta it means second to the alpha, In such a situation that the alpha is not around the beta makes decision. He is also the voice of reason to the alpha!.. beta.. I didn't get your title wrong did I? Steven- Cody please!.. she is like a sister to me, I was just worried and I took it out on you.. I am sorry!

"Why aren’t you an Alpha ?" Olivia hesitated, not sure how to explain something so complicated to a child so young. "It’s because I was born a Beta," she said, keeping her voice light. "But being a beta isn’t a bad thing. It just means I have different strengths." Cade nodded thoughtfully. "But if Dad’s an Alpha and I’m an Alpha, then you’re still special, right?"

“Beta is like the second-in-command in a werewolf hierarchy. The current beta is Jerome Evans, and his son Murdoch is next in line.” “Then why does she think that you’re the beta-elect?” I looked into Ryan’s crystal-grey eyes ringed in their warm brown. He gave a non-committal shrug. “Well, technically, it’s not a position you can be born into.” “Then how is Murdoch next in line?”

“Aliana, do you know where the alpha is? I'm yet to see him after the commotion this morning. And I'm a little worried that something bad had happened to him” She shook her head. “No Miss. I haven't. The alpha never interacts with us unless there is something that he expects from us to do. We only receive direct orders from the Beta.” I cocked my head to the side, trying to digest what she had just said. “The Beta? Where can I see him then? Maybe he can have some information about the alpha's well-being” “I don't know, Miss. He left in a hurry after delivering his message” She bowed stiffly and exited the room in unhidden hurry.

she muttered awkwardly, “I checked in with Alpha Alfred—actually he’s the one who’d been sending me updates about the Alpha—.” “I don’t want to know, Betty.” I stared at the scenery reeling outside my window. “He wants to stay away. Then, stay away forever.” My Beta sighed in exasperation. “But you’ve been rushing to find a new land for the Alpha’s expansion,” she tried again, treading carefully, “because you want to talk to him soon, right?”
