Betrothed Novels & Stories

"Freya, I have to speak to you about something." His tone makes my heart stutter. "If I'm going to be Alpha one day, I need to be married," he says. My heart leaps – is this a proposal? We've been betrothed since I was eight. He's my first love, and at sixteen, everything changed. We were fated mates - the Moon Goddess's highest blessing. The mark on my wrist, a crescent moon intertwined with a wolf's paw, appeared the day we met. Father told me to thank the Moon Goddess for such fortune.

Alpha Damon whispered, his wolf raged within him, but he managed to keep his calm. “If you would, please excuse us.” Beta will say to his brother, who is beginning to look confused. He nodded and got you to leave, letting the men alone. “Betrothed?” Alpha Damon whispered again, he could not believe this, fate was definitely playing tricks on him, he was mated with a woman who was already betrothed. “You have to calm down” Beta will say, he did not need a soothsayer to tell him that both alpha Damon and his wolf were raging at the moment.

“He’s inside with Mrs. Theresa.” Katie immediately stood. “Okay.” She followed the server across the venue. As they approached the private lounge, Katie noticed the door wasn’t completely closed. The server stopped. “He’s inside.” Katie nodded. “Thank you.” She reached for the door. Before opening it, she heard Theresa’s voice. “You know Vivian was betrothed to you when you guys were little.” Katie froze. Her hand remained suspended above the door handle. She didn’t understand what she had just heard. Betrothed? Her heartbeat began to pound.

Powerful and ambitious and connected to the southern territories through several political alliances. But there is something else. My gaze shifts instinctively. Seren. She has stopped moving and her entire body has gone rigid. The tray in her hands is perfectly still and her face has lost its colour. I stare at her. Why? Drake hasn’t even noticed her yet. I look back toward him. He approaches the platform with several members of his delegation behind him. He stops before me and bows. “Alpha Draven.” I return the gesture. “Alpha Drake.” His eyes rise. “It is an honour to be here for your betrothal ceremony.”

My feet trembled as I fell to my knees. "Huh!" the crowd chorused, turning to one another in astonishment. The ring bearer stepped forward, opening the glass case that bore a silver ring. I picked it out, looking at it hungrily while he stepped back. Before I knew it, the priest declared very loudly with eagerness, "It’s been years, months, and weeks since you’ve been betrothed to six. Now it’s time to fix the ring to its owner." He continued... "Here are Damien, Julian, Kai, Ethan, Lucian, and Shay. They're all handsome men with a great build, but we're gathered here to join you to one."

The same hand that had signed my permission slips and written 'I love you' in the margins of my childhood notebooks. "THE SACRAMENT OF UNIFICATION." My eyes scanned the archaic language, tripping over terms like primogeniture and dowry. And then, I saw the word that turned my blood to slush. "Matrimonium." "Marriage?" I whispered, the word feeling like a jagged stone in my mouth. "This... this says that in exchange for the Moretti protection and a ten-million-dollar 'gift,' the firstborn female of the Vance line is betrothed to the heir of the Moretti estate."

The Lantern Chain Procession had slowed into the Betrothal Lantern Rite — an ancient Beta courtship tradition woven into the solstice for generations. In the open snowfield at the end of the procession, participants formed smaller circles. Each Beta suitor lit a special lantern with a personal vow of gentle protection, patience, and honest love, then offered it to the woman he courted. The lanterns were released together, their silver threads linking destinies in a soft, respectful bond — unlike the raw, dominant claims of Alpha pacts.

I didn’t know the pack had another young madam. “Well, this isn’t just ‘another’ young madam. This is Her Majesty, Vivica,—Alpha Adrian’s betrothed." The attendant’s jaw nearly hit the ground. “I am so sorry, Your Highness. I didn’t know Alpha Dane had finally found a mate.” “A mate indeed.” Betty sniggered, her voice dripping with disdain. “If only you knew…” “Can we have the receipt, please?” I cut Betty off, causing her eyes to widen in disbelief.

He wasn't the one from earlier. "Who are you and why are you dragging me like this," I questioned. He stopped and glared at me. "I'm Dregan Demidicus your betrothed and your pereche," he growled menacingly. I jumped up and growled angrily. "I am mated to Mystrel Romanov, the Alpha of these pack lands. Dregan looked at me blankly and rolled his green eyes. "I will fight him for your mark like vampires have done for centuries," he stated plainly and I shook my head. I watched him shake the moisture from his flesh and start to dress. He was a well built man but I wasn't attracted to him at all.

"Zainab I'm sorry for everything. I don't think you really know how I feel or how I desperately need your forgiveness. I love you so freaking much that it hurts. If there's anything I could do..." "There's something that you could do for me right now." "Just mention it." "Embrace me." And he did embraced her in the dark, in the middle of the sea full of candles. He did embraced her under the light of a thousand stars. He did embraced her because he desperately wanted to. He did embraced her because it's halal. They're halal And he embraced her because they are meant to be even after he Betrayed her. *****
