Betty's POV “I, Lycan King, Ryan Kai.." the man blurted, grabbing my chin roughly, and a wince escaped my mouth. Of course, I knew the words that were next. He was going to reject me. “I, Lycan King, Ryan Kai, rejects you, Betty Veil as my mate," he growled, his eyes seething with hate, and I felt every cell in my body crying agony. “You are…” I mumbled, but I bit my lips down, knowing I shouldn't do it but it was what I do when nervous.

“What I can say to you now is this Alpha, I don't think Phillip is eligible to be Beta.” “Listen to me everyone, before you conclude if Phillip is eligible or not, I have something to say to you.” “And what is that, Alpha?” I looked at my mother and as though she knew what I was going to say, she shook her head. But I had made up my mind. “I am a witch,” I said and the entire room bursted into a gasp. “But I am also a werewolf.” I showed them my claws as I half shifted and they gasped.
