A pulse of brilliant blue light burst between them. For a single heartbeat, time itself seemed to stand still. Kael stared into her warm brown eyes. Liana looked back into his brilliant sapphire ones. Neither spoke. Neither understood why a simple touch felt so familiar. But deep inside, both of them sensed the same undeniable truth. Their meeting was no accident. It was destiny's first move.

I was in awe of it. " What is he doing?" " He does that sometimes. He goes into the beyond realm," Aery's voice dropped. I gaped at that. The Beyond was a world inhabited by supernatural spirits. It was filled with dazzling creatures of all kinds. That is where our counterparts are before they join us on our sixteenth birthdays. The beyond consisted of good and evil. Heaven and hell.
