It was such a wonderful story that comforted him. He opened the Bible and placed it upon his thighs. A verse on the second page - Jeremiah 11:19 - was highlighted in bold. He read it out aloud not daring the silence around him. But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be

He is reading on a bench, a backpack sat beside him and a takeaway coffee sat next to him as he reads. “So, close your eyes and try to zone in on him only” I do as she instructs, at first it’s hard as the voices are loud, each praying for different things. I smile as I hear a little girl praying for the latest Barbie house for her birthday, it sounds so innocent. The next to come is an older lady praying her husband never finds out about her and the man from the butchers, not quite as innocent.

"Got halfway through." "So, before I arrived, you were just sitting here, reading it?" Aren adjusted his reading glasses that was still perched on his nose. "Why not? Can't I read?" "Are your eyes okay with that?" At this, Fiona, who was seated in her rocking chair, chimed in. "I told him the same thing! He should use a reading app like I do and listen to audiobooks. "He wouldn't even need to strain his eyes; just pop on the audio, and it reads to him. Isn't that more convenient?"

What's this? "I have another one. I want you to have it. Whenever you feel confused, just read it." She opens where her bookmarker is placed and says, "Read that." For a moment, I watch her before I read it and then say, "Okay?" "No! Read it out loud so I can hear it, too." "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. "Can I see it?" "Oh, I'm afraid not," He said forbiddingly. "You need to be a priest to read it. But I can read some of it to you that I think might help with your problem." "Thank you Father, that's so kind!" She bobbed in excitement, bouncing her generous chest. "I always follow the Bible's advice." “Your pleasure comes when I decide.” The readings began. While the lector read from the Old Testament, Father Elias placed one hand discreetly beneath the altar cloth and threaded his fingers through Timothy’s soft hair.
