Startled by the lamb’s cry, April Rose jumped out of bed, and then she heard a low growling noise coming from the shadows. “Time for your dinner, oh, sweet child!”The deep voice said hoarsely. “Who’s there? Who are you?” April Rose inquired, turning around and trying to check where did the voice came from. Emerging from the shadows was a towering seven-foot monster drooling with seemingly sticky saliva. April Rose was already frightened, but this time, as the towering, bipedal, bovid-like monster revealed itself, the feeling of fear felt mighty real. Before the monster could even approach April Rose, she had already set her sights on the window for escape.

I made a plan that night to end her. The next night my parents had a big important party with some of my father’s clients from work. I knew that Rose would be over. When she arrived my mother kissed my forehead and left with my father. The sun hadn’t set yet so I asked Rose to go for a walk with me. She agreed and we took off into the woods behind my house. I got ahead of her and then made her think she had lost me. While she frantically looked for me I snuck behind her. I found a large piece of wood and crept up behind her. The entire time we walk in silence but I know Dante has something on his mind. He absentmindedly touches his lips, licking them, grinds his teeth together, and keeps looking back. Immediately after that, the monster let out an earth-shattering scream, making the earth rumble. The cave shook, sending debris from above us, and the force was enough to make even our wolf forms lose balance and send us to our knees. Shit, was he thinking of burying us here?! Fortunately, just when I thought the cave would collapse, the monster’s scream stopped, and when the earth and dust settled, the beast had turned into a mist of blood and disappeared.
