His bloodshot eyes seemed ready to engulf them in flames. Dario and Gayle stepped back. They were scared as they knew they couldn’t fight Blaze. Yet they refused to leave him alone. They exchanged quick looks before lunging for him. This time, Dario seized his waist with his strong arms, and Gayle locked his hands behind his back. Blaze struggled to break free, but not as forcefully as before. It was as if he was battling to keep his inner beast under control so that he wouldn't hurt his brother and friend.

Rush Chaos, it’s all fucking chaos. Sally and I are blocked from the stairs once again. Sally pulls me along to look for another route only to come against more men and women of the Coven. Everyone is fighting, and I’ve snapped more necks than I care to count. I just want to get to Mazy. “We’re surrounded,” Sally yells: we move back-to-back, waiting for one of them to attack. “Take it easy. Wait.” I tell Sally we need to wait; Blaze and his people are coming. “Wait for it.” I change my stance, ready to strike when out of nowhere vampires jump from the windows above, something dark flies in front of me, “Blaze!”

I stumbled backward and Colt caught me before I hit the ground. "Betty." "I'm okay." "You don't look okay." My head hurt. Not badly. Just enough to make me uneasy. "I saw something." Damon's expression sharpened. "What did you see?" "I don't know." I rubbed my forehead. "A memory maybe." Everyone exchanged looks. Before anyone could say anything else, Blaze suddenly turned toward the northern side of the village. Every muscle in his body tensed. "Damon." The warning in his voice made my stomach drop.

“They’re so glowy.” “Oh shut up Uncle,” I said feeling a little annoyed. He tried a tentative swing, then, foolishly, a second, broader one. The hellblade sang and left a red brushstroke hanging a heartbeat in the air, as if the night itself had been painted. “Uncle,” I said, catching his wrist. “Stop being a hillbilly. This isn’t a toy.” “It’s pretty damn cool,” he said, a reluctant grin breaking through. “But yes. I would also like to keep all my limbs.”

BLADE Chapter One Emiliana's POV At the moment, the only thing on my mind was how to get out of this tight, exposing, goddamn wedding dress. The driver pulled over at a huge mansion. The bodyguards alighted and opened the car door for us. I stepped down and turned back, expecting my husband to step out of the car but he stepped out from the other side and slammed the door shut. I was startled by his action. Then he began to walk inside without waiting for me.

Gabriele interrupted, but Alessandro shot him a sharp look. “Bianca hired someone to kill Lisa and the boys—but she’s alive.” He paused, letting the words sink in before continuing, recounting everything. “Oh my!” Sophia gasped. “That bitch! I will kill her myself!” Sophia shouted, pounding the table. “You… my prayers came true?” Alessandro and the others turned to Lilani. He hadn’t realized she was hiding behind the couch. Alessandro walked over and scooped her up. “Yes, Lisa is alive—but she may not remember us. We have to help her,” he whispered gently.

There was a reason why he had a new woman leaving his house every week—sometimes two or three. Alpha William Gideon—Billy—was nothing like him. Billy had dirty blond hair that he kept buzzed short. His eyes were dark brown, deep and delicious like chocolate. He had thick eyebrows, which gave him a stern look that he capitalized on often. His build was tall as well, but muscular. Against normal people, Ralph would be described as athletic. But against Billy, he looked almost scrawny.

Afterward, a bunch of dudes stepped out, wearing black leather jackets with dark blue under t-shirts, dust black ripped jeans, and dark brown boots. "Hey, fellows. We are looking for Richard. I believe that he is in there. So if you guys can allow us to get him, we will be on our way, and no one will get hurt." Blaze said with a cunning smile on his face. “We will need you all to back off, get back into your little vehicle, and drive back to where you came from before someone gets hurt, really badly,” The guy said, maintaining eye contact with Blaze. "You don't seem to get it, do you! Since that's the case, let's forget about useless talks and skip to the good part, shall we?!"

Echo sighs and helps me, shooting Julius a warning look as we get Blaze into his room and onto the bed. “You earned my respect today,” Echo tells me quietly. “Most guys your size would’ve run, cheated, anything but confront the issue head-on.” He walks out, closing the door behind him. Blaze groans loudly from the bed. “I think I’m seeing God.” Rolling my eyes, I walk over. “No you’re not. If you were dying, you’d be seeing the fucking devil.” He pouts up at me. “You think I’m going to hell?”
