Instead of going home, Anders drove over to Billy's house and knocked on the backdoor, yelling "Anyone home?" Cindy walked back as she wiped her hands from cleaning up in the kitchen and said, "Anders, what a nice surprise. We are just sitting down to dinner. You shall join us." Anders tipped his hat and gave his favorite cowgirl a hug and said, "How are you my dear lady?" "Well, things will be better once you solve this case. Billy is stressed."

Billy reluctantly got up and went upstairs to get another officer, showing that he wasn't at all happy with his new assignment. "Who is it that you want to call anyway?" Billy asked when he returned with back up. As Billy pulled out the keys to open Brent's cell the other officer just glared at him. "Not that it's any of your business but, my attorney. Who else do you think I would want to call?" Brent spat, he's been in this same cell for twelve hours now, or at least he thinks it's only been twelve hours. "I don't know, maybe your accomplice but don't worry he's on his way to the station to join you.!" Billy smugly replied. "That's what you get for working with a partner!"

Billy’s mouth dropped open. He turned around and looked at Jodi again. “You know her, don’t you? All of you do. How do you know her?” “Turns out . . . you’re in love with me and Jackie’s cousin,” Jodi answered with a smirk. Billy’s hazel eyes widened. “Your cousin. She’s a Garvey?” he said with astonishment. This was too much of a coincidence. Jodi had mentioned cousins who lived across the country, but she had never talked about them in detail.

“And I didn’t like that. I didn’t like sharing their thoughts with ghosts.” Aurora’s voice came out in a whisper, dread crawling up her spine. “What… what did you do?” Billy smiled again, softer this time. “I sent them to my brothers.” Her stomach dropped. “What?” Aurora breathed, horror seeping into every syllable. “A little gas accident,” Billy said lightly. “The house exploded.” He tilted his head, almost thoughtful. “They were sleeping peacefully. And I was at the neighbor’s house for a sleepover. Perfect timing.”
