Ryan parked in front of the NYPD building on Broadway, he walked into the entrance of the brown brick building, there was a large 34th police precinct written on the side of the building. Flavius wades through the crowd of dragons until he comes upon a SpitFire much smaller than the rest. Her scales are a brilliant lilac compared to the deep violet of the other SpitFires. She slowly approaches Flavius sniffing his outstretched hand. Flavius uncurls his fingers, reaching for her head. In one swift movement, her jaws snap down on Flavius's hand. He lets out a yelp of surprise but does not try to pull his hand away. Blood drips from the mouth of the small SpitFire. She makes no move to rip Flavius's arm off, which is a good sign.

Ava must have succeeded in communicating with Chakor, as he banks right, away from the edge of the enemy, adjusting his flight path to line up with the east division. A prey bird anticipates his move, sweeping out and plowing into his side at the right moment. Chakor and Ava downward spiral from the sky, the prey bird pushing them along. Hunji roars, “Chakor!” Ruda’s painful howl mixed with a growl as we all saw the other two prey birds attack from underneath, their sharp beaks and jagged teeth tearing into his wings. Ava, hanging on for dear life is plucked from Chakor’s back, bitten in half. The bird swallows the top half of her body, as her legs, along with Chakor plummet to the ground.

He could sense that the bird was not alone, and that there were other spirits around them, waiting to strike. Nathan and his guards stood there, swords drawn, ready to defend themselves against whatever evil spirits were lurking in the darkness. They knew that they were in for a long and dangerous night. As the bird lunged and screeched towards them, the guards waited for Nathan's command to charge. Nathan observed the bird closely, trying to identify any distinguishing features that might reveal its origin or intent. The bird appeared to be a large, wild raven, its black feathers ruffled by the wind. It continued to screech and flap its wings, as if trying to intimidate the group.
