Bite

Bite

Axel announces, and I shake back into reality. When I look back up, Axel is staring at me intently. I suck in a breath as his silver eyes hold a look I can’t place. “Sorry,” I mutter, handing him his book, “I got lost in thought.” I wait for the snide remark or cruel joke, but Axel simply takes the book, rips out the paper, and places it in front of him. It takes him two more seconds of staring at me before he finally flickers his eyes down to my scraggly handwriting.

The Bite That Changed Everything

The Bite That Changed Everything

The band was formed from tiny diamonds arranged like intertwining flower branches, and at the center sat a smooth, luminous pearl that glowed softly in the sunlight. “Zoe,” he said quietly, “I know you’ve been hurt before, but I want to give you a future that feels safe. Will you marry me?” His voice was low and gentle, his eyes filled with sincerity and hope. I froze for a moment. Then, my vision blurred as tears welled up and spilled over. Nodding through my tears, I whispered, “I will.”

he greeted with a bow. “Paul. What is it you wanted to show me?” “I’ve been running extensive tests on this book since you gave it to me,” he said, picking up the book. “I ran tests on the entire book and came up empty.” I frowned at him. “Then why am I here?” “Well, as I stated, I came up empty…the first time.” He flipped the book open to the pages that replaced the originals. “These pages are made from Sri Lanka Legume Trees.”

Midnight Chase: Saved by the Alpha

Midnight Chase: Saved by the Alpha

“Sure, I’ll read it. But then we eat breakfast, okay?” “Okay,” Bella said, wiggling sideways to press into my side. My smile broadened, and I flipped to the front of the book. “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” I began. “In the light of the moon a little egg laid on a leaf…” A I B , I took her downstairs to get breakfast ready. As I rounded the bottom of the steps, I realized there was someone sitting at the table and startled so violently I almost dropped Bella.

Bound by the Moon, Rejected by the Alpha

Even Brian didn’t stop nagging me until I told him I could no longer handle it. “You sound so bitter right now,” Judith said, typing in her passcode as we stopped at her door. We entered her room, and I headed straight for her bed. I expected her to protest that the bed would only make me want to sleep instead of read but she didn’t. “I’m not sounding bitter, I just don’t like the way everyone is trivializing my decision,” I said, picking the biggest book from the stack of books I left on the ground. I read from a self-help book I had once read, ‘Eat-That-Frog’, that eating your biggest frog first would make eating the smaller ones easier.

The Vampire's Bite

The Vampire's Bite

"You heard me right, Eve. You have had vampire blood in you ever since you were born." "How is that possible? My parents, I was sure they were humans and they haven't mentioned anything unnatural… and I never felt strange before." "You are not a pure-blooded vampire, only a fraction of your blood contains vampire blood. That's why you managed to live for all those years like a normal human being. But the truth is, it was only suppressed and waiting to be activated. And it happened when Vienna's subordinate bit you. It was the vampire's venom that awakened the vampire blood in you. It was the reason why the transition took faster than usual because you were not a pure human in the first place

An Alpha's Bite

An Alpha's Bite

Every damn book I’ve read about them seemed even more real. And I hated it. My eyes traveled around studying the house. Then I noticed it wasn’t exactly a house. It was a mansion. It was huge and filled with countless rooms. The halls felt endless and like a labyrinth until we reached the kitchen. The place was big and busy when we arrived. There were a lot of servants running around preparing for breakfast. “Come.” Rose beckoned me. “Sit.” She gestured towards the kitchen island that had numerous stools. I tensed when I felt many prying eyes on me. I avoided meeting their sight and looked down, only finding interest on the table. I just knew what their looks could mean and I was afraid of i

The Billionaire's Bite

The Billionaire's Bite

"Damien meet Mia, she's one if the top students in her class and my favorite" Hearing him introduce me as his favorite student gives me butterflies. Don't look at me like that, you'd feel the same way if you were in my shoes. "Mia meet Damien Black, he's my best friend and CEO of D.B." he says. Like definitely doesn't attract like. They have two different personalities. Mr. Black stands up and offers his hand for a shake which I accept. It happens then. I'm an avid reader of romance novels, my favorite author is Kristen Ashley and I've read all of her books.

BITTEN BY FATE

BITTEN BY FATE

While she said that, I noticed her eyes were big which meant she was trying too hard to be positive oriented. I wanted to tell her this but Ruth was already out the door. Shirley held me by the shoulders, “This is exactly why you need to tell them! The tea ingredients could be wrong or responsible for causing a baby in the womb to be hurt. You don't know what they have in their snacks either. This won't do.” Shirley said and started eating up the snacks that Ruth brought. “If the snacks aren't good, then why are you eating them?” “I'm not pregnant,” She said and continued to eat the snacks which I didn't even know what it was called.

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

I look over to where Primus had been sitting not so long ago. What's this? Primus left something behind. A book? Was this the gift he meant to give me? It is a small thing, dainty. I cannot imagine someone as large as Primus ever reading this because how could he ever hold onto it without breaking it? It looks so precious, and fragile. Even as a child, I can't imagine he would have been small or careful enough to read it. Gently, as if lifting a rose from a vase, I pick up the blush pink volume, marveling at the delightful texture of its silk binding, the title embroidered in gold. While I might not know many words yet, I know enough that I can read the title of this book.

TNG
The writing is clunky at times, but the story and the characters are mesmerizing. This was my first dragon romance, and it was incredible. So glad the sequel has already started because the ending is criminal. I want to see all my favorites find their happiness.
