“It's Anna, Mom. He still loves her. He still carries a torch for her, and I'm just the consolation prize. I'm just… a reminder of what he lost.” Mom's expression softens, “Oh, honey. “It's clean and not poison. You need it for some strength. We don't want you dead as of yet.” I held the glass with my shaky hands and in an instant the glass fell to the floor shattering to pieces.
