She softly flung open the window and took a peek outside. She could see two men conversing and exchanging objects, but she was unable to make out what they were exchanging. It was dark outside, and her eyes were already tired and yawning for some sleep. One of the men appeared to have the same body type as the butler, and she was able to identify him by his shape, but she was unable to identify the other man. The other man was dressed in all black, and he had a hat on that covered his face. They shook hands, and the man left the mansion as the butler returned to the house.

Seeing Jaxon and Mia looking like they glue each other, Rey glared at Gavin who looked innocently at everyone. “Blacky is not wrong, he just wants to play. You know already, he likes women,” said Gavin which made all the men there snort in disapproval. “I told you to keep the snake in his cage, Gavin,” Gideon hissed. “Imagine if it was Kalista, she might give birth prematurely.” All the men there shuddered at the thought of Kalista with her big belly climbing a chair and running around the room being chased by Blacky. “Usually Blacky is very sweet,” Gavin defended against his snake which looked at the men around with its round eyes as its body squirmed about to come to its master.

It was coming from the ghost king that dangled mid-air. “Son of William Rockefeller... Hurry up! Shake those three men in black with your arrows!” Yukita begged Alex for help. There wasn’t any other option. Alex chuckled coldly. “Are you going to give me a reason for that?” “Your father, William, and I are friends,” Yukita shouted. “Haha. Quickly the door opened, the Butler ran into the office, a huge glass jug was on his hands. "One more seconds of lateness is enough for me to drink your blood and bury you six feet under my feet." Blade said, quickly collecting the jug, the Butler yelped with fear, quickly standing ten feet away from the king. Blade glared at the Butler, the Butler was a vampire yet he behaved like a human.

"Thank you for handling the letter. I'll be the one to inform the Archduke of your visit." Nonchalantly, the combatant bows as he takes his leave. Mouth dropping, the Butler exclaims, "That's it?!" Smacking the Butler's shoulder, William irritatedly speaks out, "You heard him. Quick, you have to wake the Archduke!" Shaking on his knees, the Butler stammers in uncertainty. "B-But I-I can't---" Flicking Butler Ferd's forehead, William groans. "Go on! We don't have much time!" Then, the Butler hisses in pain.

I stared at the ceiling while tears slipped soundlessly from the corners of my eyes. That night, William finally pushed the door open. The second he saw me lying there half-dead, the fruit tray in his hands crashed to the floor. He immediately called for the butler and demanded to know why no one had taken care of me. The butler stammered out an answer. "W-We were busy preparing for Miss Summer's birthday party tomorrow. I forgot." The moment those words landed, William went silent. Then he waved the butler away in irritation and strode to the bedside, feeding me medicine himself.

I packed up my things, gently waking Chloe, and we headed out into the cool night air. We reached the sidewalk near the main gate, where the streetlights cast long, shaky shadows across the pavement. I was just about to suggest we call a ride when a pair of bright, expensive-looking headlights cut through the darkness.
