Chapter 14

The doctor stumbled to a stop in front of them, panting and with her hands on her knees as she attempted to take a breath. She was wearing some makeup, and her black hair was also pulled back into a bun. Her smile had caused Rory to feel a little uneasy. She was very attractive and a little tall.

That voice is one Eren would recognize anywhere. It appeared as though, among all of his cousins, she was the only one he liked.

He grinned. Rory noticed his smile. Her gaze returned to the doctor. Who was she to smile at Eren? Never before had he grinned so broadly. He had never before, as far as she knew, smiled like that.

"I'll handle it from here," she said to Rory. As soon as Rory left Eren's side, she reached for his hand.

"Amelia." He called while grinning slightly. "You were aware I was here."

"Of course," she replied, guiding Eren to the office as Rory followed them.
