Sheep in Wolf's Clothing
I knelt beside Daka, who was panting, while blood pooled around him.
“How is it?” The witch knelt beside me. Daka nodded, giving me the go-ahead to pull the arrow away from him. I pulled it, and he screamed.
“This arrow is laced with wolfsbane,” the witch said, sniffing it.
I knew because I perceived it myself. It would make Daka weak.
“Alpha Karim, you need to see this,” Jago said to me.
I left Daka and stood up, looking ahead where Jago had pointed, and saw an army that looked so familiar.
