“Why don’t you join us for the auction tonight? You remember Amber don’t you?” Just by mentioning Amber's name, she had successfully piqued his interest. "She served you yesterday. She’s offering herself up for auction tonight. Just thought you might be interested, “ Cecil had finished her sentence with a coy smile, even as he stood motionless at the entrance. And so, like a fool, he came and joined the crowd. Back in the present, Cecil raised her microphone and smiled into the black mirror, where a dozen men stood – all drowning themselves in the exquisite beauty of a redhead who stood rigid like a tree next to Cecil.

Dahlia nodded and left for the club with Kimberly. The bass from the Loop Club pumped with energy through the sturdy walls even before Dahlia and Kimberly reached the velvet ropes. A long line of patrons snaked down the street around the block but, the bouncers' eyes widened in shock when they saw the two ladies. They had already been informed. Dahlia Winters was coming. Just one call during the day has sealed their place inside. The bouncer let them in with a deep bow. Heads turned on their arrival, the neon lights gracing the colors of fabrics on their body. The night of the event arrived faster than they anticipated. The Lavelle Hotel, the same venue from their previous encounter, was buzzing with activity, its grand lobby packed with the city’s most influential figures. Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. She was in a cream coloured off shoulder dress which stopped mid-thigh and hugged her curves beautifully.

It never had and it never did. Could she just stay in their hotel room this entire event? Could she just hide away? ____ Persephone heard a series of knocks on the door of her hotel. He waved at the security men, not bother waiting to talk to them. He pushed the door of the hotel Cadel’s building which looked like it was sky-high standing at the bottom. The glass panels that covered the building always seem to catch the light, and after the sun went down, it would cause the sun rays to gleam, making the building look like it was made of glimmering diamonds.
