“I’m a level-headed person, madam. You must be mistaken.” She didn’t buy my poppycock and stretched her hand for a formal introduction. “Susan William. Nice to see you, Susan.” Although I was expecting her extreme body temperature like Carver, she was normal. However, a chill ran down my spine, as if a bucket of cold water poured over me.

Black and sheer spirals wrapped around her body leaving little to the imagination. There was movement behind her and my eyes looked past her to find two fierce women standing behind her. I noticed the one on her left right away. She was the tallest woman I’ve ever seen. She wore tight orange pants that sat on her hips and the bottom of her breasts peeked out from a short black crop top. Her skin was a smooth shiny bronze color, her hair a violent red, and her eyes were all white. The look she gave me told me just how much she didn’t want to be here.

Which made her hate the event forever. Susan could still see it clearly. Emilia in a deep blue gown, her dark hair swept back, her smile soft but knowing with a seductive style. She continued with the newspaper. "I'm Jake by the way. Jake Tucker." She now looked at him. "I'm Susan. Susan Hills." She was about to lower her head. "Such a beautiful name." "You think?" "I've never seen a lady who goes by the name Susan that wasn't ever beautiful. I bet if you take off your glasses, you'll have me spellbound." More like fall in love, Susan thought. She had the most beautiful reddish-brown eyes written in blood, danger, and death, but no one ever saw that. All they saw was beauty, the woman of their dreams, their future, but never what came next.

Those green eyes were blown out, the pupils swallowing the iris until they were almost entirely black. "You eat... there." He gave a sign vaguely toward the center of the room where the team was staring at us like we had both grown second heads. "I eat where I want," I replied. I took a bite of my sandwich, watching him. "Why are you sitting in the dark? You like being a ghost?"

Susan's blue eyes burnt with hatred. She looked like she was ready to rip Athena's pup right out of her. Athena's blood boiled as she silently dared her to lay a finger on her. At that moment, she knew she would do anything to take these two threats down with her. But then Susan's eyes darted to Gauis again, and she kept her mouth shut, and her head hung like a fucking lapdog.

Nezeira felt the restlessness and said, "Is there something bothering you princess?" Euphenia, "Ohhhhh, actually I do have a question." Nezeira looked at her and said, "Please ask." Euphenia, "I have heard about Your Highness many times. Especially about your eyes. But….." Nezeira, "I wear black contacts. Trying not to draw too much attention." She doesn’t-- I mean didn’t wear anything else?” she asked, her eyebrows meeting in the middle confused. “Don’t tell me she’s one of those people…” “Yes, specifically black clothing. They’re hot in the day but you disappear in the night. That’s what she always said to me.” Krister disappeared in the back to get something whilst Rojean was left there to contemplate on her own how she was going to pull the act off if she was a bad liar herself.
